Damn work will make me miss teh first half, hope I come home to see we've put the game out of sight by then

I'm not saying he hasn't played well below par, but that claim that I've bolded just is not true. From the top of my head, I can say Everton's third definitely wasn't played in from the left (our right). Or is that why you said we've only conceded 11 instead of the 12 that we've actually conceded? Then again, Swansea's second was straight down the middle and ended in a penalty, so eleven is not right either. Matic caused the penalty against WBA that luckily Courtois saved, but that was played in from their right (our left side) and if I remember it wasn't the only time they did it. All I'm saying is that the whole defence has been a shambles.

Every single goal is an exaggeration but many of them were down to Ivan's side, and his poor defending unsettles the defence. Not to say for sure that the CBs haven't dropped their levels but I'd like to see the usual Azpi JT Cahill but this time without Ivan and see how they get on.

Also the penalty against Swansea if I recall correctly was because Willian was covering for Ivan so much that he was in defence but didn't know how to hold the defensive line and played Gomis on.

great team tonight, very excited to see if RLC can win himself a place in the first XI, same with Rahman. really hope they show well and put pressure on the regulars

If only our problems were solved simply by dropping Ivan, but they're not.

Agreed. And I never implied what you think I did. However, I do think that of all our problems, Ivan's loss of pace/form (or whatever you want to call it) is the most obvious. So, if Jose cannot see and fix that problem (because he's stubborn or has favorites or whatever the reason), then I'm more troubled by that than by our current record.

Prety happy with that line up, feeling confident!

Can anyone tell me if Kenedy is eligable for the CL? Or do we think he will fade into obscurity after his last game?

You can't blame that on Ivan. That was Willian's fault.

Would have rather seen RLC next to matic, both doing an even amount of leg work. Let's see how this one goes. I dont think traore has a chance of getting of the bench

Yes it was Willian's fault but it originated from Ivan playing so badly that Willian needed to be a RB for that match, otherwise they would continue to skin us on the right which I'm sure they did anyway.

Ages since we kept a clean sheet. If we can't get one against this lot then we're going to struggle to against just about everyone else we play this season.

Important game for Willian, he's at risk of losing his place in the team with Pedro, Oscar and Fabregas potentially preferred to him, needs to put in a solid performance tonight.

Chelsea team tonight: Begovic; Azpilicueta, Zouma, Cahill ©, Baba Rahman; Loftus-Cheek, Fabregas; Willian, Oscar, Hazard; Remy. [/size]#CFC

Ruddy heck, that's exciting! :)

He is definitely eligible. But if realistically only one of he and Traore are going to get a chance to come off the bench, seems fair that Traore get a turn next.

Surprised me as I expected Jose to stick with most of the usual players in the hope of playing them into form/confidence, not good for my BPL but it will be an interesting watch.

Looking forward to it and the 3-1 victory I'll pretend I'm confident of.

Any returns half gos to the site as usual.

RLC and Fabregas in the middle of the park then. RLC's lungs will be hanging out by the end. I'd rather have seen him with Matic as I want to see us beef up the midfield in the hope of stop being over run. Anyway, good luck to him because he's going to have to play an absolute blinder to make a long term impact on Jose.

Very much looking forward to seeing Baba Rahman.

So, what formation is that then ? hopefully 4-3-3. It also looks like RLC is the holding midfielder, i'm not sure i like that, i don't see him as a holding midfielder and i don't want him to be turned into one either.

I'm happy that Rahman and Remy are starting, I'm glad Oscar is back too. it's a shame Pedro is injured and i would have stuck with Terry to be honest.
