October 6, 201510 yr 3 year deal at the dippers, sorting end of the week. Shame, I quite liked him. You just know he's gonna spout off all the same sh*te Brendan did, maybe worse!!
October 6, 201510 yr Apparently one of the conditions of him joining is he wants final say in all transfers. Half of Rodgers downfall was the awful players he was handed by the "transfer committee". It always bemuses me when a club restructures like that because surely it's an admissions that Rodgers wasn't working with best transfer structure for the goals Liverpool have set themselves?
October 6, 201510 yr Well he's already done that cringeworthy thing of touching that plastic 'this is Anfield' sign like it's the Pope's hand. That sign is about as special as the calculator on my desk.
October 6, 201510 yr Just last week, TalkSh!te's resident Scouse expert (OK -they have plenty of them) Graham Beecroft (Sp?) was discussing Rodgers' position and the possibility of Carlo taking over. He was non-committal but the one guarantee he could offer was that the next LFC boss would NOT be Klopp. Great sources that man has.

That sign is about as special as the calculator on my desk. Good point. The sign's there because Liverpool are so mediocre and the crowd so quiet that people need to be reminded where they are. I don't like to wish ill on others but here's hoping Klopp becomes unstuck at 'the biggest sporting club in the history of mankind' ©
October 6, 201510 yr Don't know a great deal about Klopp apart from his Dortmoind side. Will he win them the league? Get them in the top 4? Or is a nearly man?
October 6, 201510 yr doomed to failure if you ask me, a poisoned post, nothing is good enough for them that still live in the past
October 6, 201510 yr As Zola says, real shame as Klopp seems a very likeable guy. Now he is joining that lot I fear I won't despise them quite the same. I'm gonna have to try that bit harder - just hope I have it in me. I do fear he might do well there though.

I don't like to wish ill on others but here's hoping Klopp becomes unstuck at 'the biggest sporting club in the history of mankind' © Ah Spud - you nearly stole my line that they put it up to show the way to the pitch because their players kept on running out of the dressing room and into the carpark. As for Klopp - he may do well, he may not but in terms of competing with City, United, ourselves (in a normal season) and even Arsenal is that to date FSG have not wanted to spend very much money. Milner is their highest paid player on £150k per week. To get elite players they are going to have to completely restructure their salaries. We all laugh at Brendan spending £300m but his net spend was only about £25m a year. FSG are profiteers, that's all they are there for and they want to make a quick buck with as little up front investment as possible. Klopp may be able to build a decent side from less costly players but he is very likely to find that bigger clubs will come in and take his better players, such as Coutinho who apparently is being watched by a number of Spanish clubs. Without the right size of investment, LIverpool are going to struggle to make a breakthrough.
October 6, 201510 yr He may well be. I said 'Scouse expert'. I appreciate that, and didn't mean anything by it. Used to listen to him a lot. He always tried to hide which club he supported. Terrible waffler

October 7, 201510 yr Dortmund were god awful in his last season and Liverpool don't have the squad to match their ambitions (top 4). Can't see this ending well for him.
October 7, 201510 yr A genuinely terrifying prospect. Liverpool don't have that bad a squad this season, and a top-level manager (which Klopp definitely is) could fire them into the top four. With any luck some Qatari team will offer him £40m a year and a small Pacific island and Liverpool will end up with Harry Redknapp.
October 8, 201510 yr Klopp pretty much confirmed then. He won't do much this season but with financial backing and him in charge, they will be significantly better. Damn
October 8, 201510 yr Very decent manager. for me better the Pep in terms of achievements probably on a par with Simomi (sp) Also suffered his own crisis last season where he just about saved Dortmund from relegation. A few years back I believe Roman would have already pulled the trigger and tried to get Klop in, so prehaps some growth on his part. I still think we have the best in the business and I'm exceited to see our eveolution under Jose as well as his in to a coach that can build multiple winning teams (they don't have to come consecuatvily )
