March 9, 20206 yr Apparently rejected £140k p/w. Not worth anymore than that but what can we expect when we put CHO on £120k and Kepa on £200k+
March 9, 20206 yr Tammy have asked £200 p/w. I don't think he worth it to be honest. 8M a year is way too much for a striker like him. I would prefer Chelsea to sign Lautaro or Wernem who are much better than him.

Salaries for younger players are becoming crazy such is the competition these days.

Tammy was on loan these previous years and never interested a top club like Bayern for example. Tammy is our "best" striker because of the last summer ban. It's a huge difference between them.
March 9, 20206 yr It's to be expected though, that's what happens when you give youngsters ridiculous salaries, agents know what they're doing. A bit of a shame but it's expected to happen, I wouldn't blame Tammy as a person for it.

Agree that Bayern inflated CHO's weekly wage bill and Tammy has an argument to be paid the same though think the club should be careful not to go that high. If either of these do not perform or lose their motivation we then have expensive contracts to pay as loanees rarely cover club salaries.
March 9, 20206 yr Shame if he has turned down a new deal. Sell for the best price we can in the summer if that does not change for me.
March 9, 20206 yr Author It's always been his dream to be the No. 9 for Chelsea so I'm sure he'll sign. Sure, he and his agent will want best deal and as much £££ as possible but I can't see him leaving. He knows he still has a lot to prove and is not the finished article. One's thing for sure, he will need to keep improving as he will face more competition next season.
March 9, 20206 yr This is what happens when you give youngsters ridiculous salaries when they haven't proven Jack sh*t on the field, what happened to proving yourself before you can demand stupid wages. The club buckled under CHO and now every youngsters and their grand will want 200k plus. If you want to see what that can lead to look a united and their lot of overpaid backstreet boys massive wages no end product Can't blame him though get as much as you can lock yourself into bumper 5 year deal and then even if you flop you are minted so you can look after your family. If all these youngers get locked into these high contracts and don't deliver we are going to be in for tough time removing them from our wage Bill.
March 10, 20206 yr Only in America are players salaries public, no one actually knows how much any football player is actually being paid. If you trust the crap published buy the press, you make yourself look stupid.

Doesn't matter if he was a Bayern target considering he's yet to make an impact in the PL. At the moment Tammy has had a much greater impact for us this season so why shouldn't he expect to get more out of it?

No-one but the club, the player and his agent know what their salary is. That doesn't stop people ranting on about how piss-poor their attitude must be and how they haven't yet justified a totally fictitious number made up by a journo with columns to fill or some twatter clown just making sh*t up for clicks or giggles.
March 10, 20206 yr I said back then that CHO contract haggling with the club set a bad precedent for other youngsters. As others said we should not be suprised about this.

No one know exactly what he is on, however the most reported figure was around £120k p/w basic salary with performance related add ons that could see it rise to a max. of £180k.
March 10, 20206 yr I don't know what anyone earns at the club, i dont need to know, none of us need to know. The only reason people would want to know, is so they can use it as a beating stick later on, theorising that "as soon as they get the big contract, they go downhill".

Although im sure financial records are published anyway are the end of the year, im sure someone more intelligent than me could work it out. Even its not entirely accurate, it is going to be a ball park number, major news outlet reported similar. Significantly lower than the 230k strider used to back up his opinion. Not saying his opinion is wrong, just that the numbers are way off.
March 10, 20206 yr Looking back I do see £12Ok was quoted here with the Telegraph as a source, if Tammy's £200M is reported as true then that does appear very high. Yorkleyblue does mention about the duplicitous nature of the media which is fair enough, though without that we would not have so much too talk about 🙂 Edited March 10, 20206 yr by strider6004
