Very few players would be able to come in and perform for us with the team playing this badly. That said, if we aren't going to use youth or change our approach to games and are determined on spending our way out of this then I would like to see us put in some serious bids for Gundogan who is clearly on his way out of Dortmund.

While a very good footballer ( a more mobile/ agile cesc imo) I think Gundogan would struggle in our current system unless he comes in to play the #10 role which we have in abundance. We seriously need to give the 4231 system a second thought as it seems are current set of players aren't suited for it. 433/451 are preferable options.

Think we should go all out for reus and aubemyang, win the CL to qualify for it, pretty simple stuff....

I think that's a valid point - even after the car crash which was last season, missing out on the Champions League, and losing a long-serving and iconic manager, they still didn't lose anybody of note.

They would have lost Gudogan if he had decided to accept the offers for him in the summer but he's holding out for the top clubs likes of Madrid and Barca. I reckon we could tempt him if we threw enough money his way.

No idea who we should bring in, but we need to sell the following ASAP:

 

- Ivanovic - Absoultely woeful now, beaten by everyone who runs at him, positioning is appaling

- Mikel - 10 years and he still hasn't learned how to pass the ball

- Matic - If he can improve in the 2nd half of the season, fine, but he looks a championship player at best. 

- Fabregas - Useless.

- Ramires - Just runs, nothing else

- Oscar - 1 good game a season, otherwise offers nothing but falling over and waving his hands in the air

- Falcao -

- Djilobodji

- Hazard - Today was the final straw for me, just strolling around the pitch all game, doing f**king nothing. He could at least try and close their defenders down, but no, just walk slowly toward them and let them do whatever they want.

I'd love Gundogan too, signing him wouldn't come close to solving all our problems but it'd be a step in the right direction.

You're looking 200-250m for that lot but there's a mix of ages and a good manager would win the league by adding players of such ilk to what we have.

That would be 100m-120m then get rid of a few loan players who will never feature.

This is dreamland though. Such a drastic clear out, whilst needed, is unlikely to happen.
