January 13, 201610 yr Would have liked the 3 points but at least the unbeaten run keeps going. My grandson ,who was at the game had some harsh words to say about the ref.
January 13, 201610 yr Sorry to say this but Zouma was by far our worst player. He looked totally off tonight.
January 13, 201610 yr Anthony Taylor is such a weak ref. Pathetic is the word that comes to mind. As for the game, I think this performance is another example of why we don't deserve to have CL football next season. Then again, under Jose this season we probably would have lost, so I guess there's some positive.
January 13, 201610 yr Mike Dean got questioned by the papers after his display last night, let's see if this prick gets analysed the same way after robbing Chelsea
January 13, 201610 yr poor from pedro and thibaut especially the latter, beaten twice from long range twice, he's better than that.. That's a bit harsh. Two good strikes and I don't think you can blame Courtois on either of them.

January 13, 201610 yr Mike Dean got questioned by the papers after his display last night, let's see if this prick gets analysed the same way after robbing Chelsea Nah because he screwed Chelsea over he'll be applauded
January 13, 201610 yr Frustrating not to beat wba at home. Terrible ref and agree in hindsight Guus should have left Fab on. Positives. Great desire and commitment from Costa. Kenedy provided much more penetration and thrust than Pedro Both their goals were great strikes Undefeated in 6 Europe is no longer an option- we can use the rest of the premier league season to give the younger players game time and find out if they are actually any good. It seems obvious that whoever is manager this squad has limitations. I don't agree with Pep s 10 players but we certainly need to strengthen in 3 or 4 positions to get back to dominating teams at the bridge. I think the form of Hazard masked some of these deficiencies last season, but I am sure at the end of this season we will go strong in the transfer market.
January 13, 201610 yr Spurs are losing, City dropped points, Liverpool are losing all at home too. Its a round robin league not a cup final. Still 18games to make up lost points. I know, but even with 18 games left, I can't see this lot stringing many wins together, this defence is appalling, after all these sh*t performances this season and the term doom and gloomer still gets thrown around, amazing, it'll still be thrown around in three months time.
January 13, 201610 yr What was the reason to play Oscar full match? I thought that Guss didn't have to play defensively, we had Remy, Ramires and RLC to make it 3-1.
January 13, 201610 yr Cuadpedro. Bit harsh lol, Cuadrado offered literally nothing, I'd place Pedro slightly above Salah but below Schurrle at this moment. Definitely below Kenedy and he should take his place in the starting lineup now.
January 13, 201610 yr That's a bit harsh. Two good strikes and I don't think you can blame Courtois on either of them. definitely 2 good strikes but feel he could be able to save at least one given his quality but maybe I'm just expecting a lil bit too much from him, only human..
January 13, 201610 yr Being frustrated with the players is much easier to take than being frustrated with the ref. When you know the ref has made as many f**k ups as he has tonight, it really does piss you off. There is no mention of it though, it's just praise for West Brom for their sh*t tactics. Their fouling and time wasting is being praised and they are said to have played with character and determination...........praising teams for sh*t like that is why this league is going to the dogs. It's Premier League football, not f**king conference level, we should be seeing top football, not players getting away with fouling players all over the pitch. It's clear to see why Spain and Germany are ahead of us and the rest of Europe is catching us, English football is backwards.

The defence isn't good but the balance of the team isn't right. We are seriously lacking in centre midfield at present. The number of times they broke on us in yards of space was frightening. I do wonder if we have players better suited to 4/3/3.
January 13, 201610 yr Let's put the Ref' to one side (although he did bottle the reds) - we really shouldn't need his help to win games like this. Let's face it, we are a woeful side, limping along with a steadying hand at the tiller. Oscar, Fab, Costa (calm down a little- please), Willian, Azpi all had decent games. Kenedy had a worthwhile cameo too. Pedro - go back to the continent please. Our defence is diabolical. Terry just gets slower and slower and slower. Tibo one of the best goalies in the world (?) - not even close - to me he looked lame on the second goal and some of his distribution is Sunday League. And as for Zouma - he has some potential, not a prayer of being top notch. He puts some nice tackles in but spoils it by losing his mark and seems to have some sort of spacial awareness issue - the ball comes over his head from behind, he loses sight of it and the looks totally confused. Utterly insipid performance but par for the course this season. As for Pulis - he's a cute manager and must surely drill his players in the dark arts of niggling challenges and blatant obstruction for corners at both ends. 100% as per his reign at Stoke who were (still are but not quite as bad) one of the most underhand teams in the Prem'.
January 13, 201610 yr First of all, absolutely hate the midweek game because of the FA cup arrangment, league is always the show piece, give the fans a chance to watch it on their day off. Secondly, this game just showed the level we are, somewhere between midtable and relegation. When the likes of Willian, Costa aren't at their A game, we are just very ordinary team. For all the possesion, we had less shots on targets than them. With 10 minutes to go and 2 defensive midfielders on the park, still couldn't hold on and deal with their direct approach. Fair enough Hiddink hasn't lost a game yet, but we dropped at least 4 points so far in games where we should have won with a bit of composure ( this and Watford game, could count the united one in too). I know FA cup is important, but after playing an almost full strength team and expect 7-8 of them to back it up 3 days later, and again on Saturday is just too much to ask. Let's hope no one is talking about the non sense to finish in the top 4 after today, we are more likely to get relegated than getting a CL spot.
January 13, 201610 yr Let's not be hiding behind the refs performance. We were insipid. 2 shots on target. So weak. 10 more mins played and we'd have lost it. WBA could sense the fear.

Arsene Wenger complained for years about the physicality before conceding that he needed to sign Giroud.
January 13, 201610 yr So next 3 are Everton (H), Arsenal (A), Watford (A). On paper a tough set of fixtures, but given how this season is shaping up it's difficult to predict anything.
