March 1, 201610 yr I don't think Hazard played that bad today. I think he is probably lacking confidence, but he has played ok today.

March 1, 201610 yr Really? He hasn't been on form all season, nor he shows any desire or put any effort, I don't mind poor form all players go through that, but to me Hazard doesn't seem interested at all to play. Diego was going through bad form but at least you can see he was trying. Sorry but I don;t see this with Hazard and I am sure i am not the only one I think i agree. I look at Redmond tonight for Norwich and he was doing what Hazard should be doing. With poor form, a player usually snaps out of it, but Hazard isn't showing any signs of that. Throughout that second half we had so many counter attacks and every time it went to Hazard he would jog around. He was on the edge of the area at one point and instead of taking on the Norwich players, he just stopped and passed it back. This really isn't good enough anymore. Ok, players go through patches of bad form, but this looks like much more than that, he just doesn't look like he is putting the effort in.
March 1, 201610 yr Well looks like we're saving ourselves for the PSG game. Just a shame we had a couple of league matches before then. Wonder if we'll manage any tackles this weekend.
March 1, 201610 yr hazard just is not a danger man any more I think Redmond did more in 25 min than Hazard did in the entire 90.
March 1, 201610 yr Not sure what you've got too complain about tonight. kenedy and traore got 60 mins, baba got 30. Is that not blooding youngsters for next season? I think gus got it just about right in the end. Some youngsters got a good run out, and we picked up 3 points on the road. Great to see Traore and Kenedy start but I don't understand the subs and the choice not to bring on Loftus-Cheek. I can absolutely see where you're coming from and I'm sure others will agree. Like I said, it's just different views and different priorities.
March 1, 201610 yr The thing is they didn't do that in the first half. They stood off us until we got 40 yards out then pressed. When they pushed up and pressed they really caused us problems. Every single person here knows that's how you get to us so why Neil didn't do that from the start I don't know. Yes, you are right but I just don't get it. You can see other teams (maybe in other leagues in Europe) that can keep possession passing the ball against other physical teams, but when the opponent starts pressing and running we just start making mistakes and losing the ball way too easily. Do players train short passes and mobility? I'm thinking Spanish national squad or Barsa like.
March 1, 201610 yr Sky enhanced Acca? To make it worse they missed a sitter in the 90th Nah, just the horror of Arsenal or Spurs winning the league.
March 1, 201610 yr Yes, you are right but I just don't get it. No idea. But it's just weird watching teams stand off Fabregas and letting him ping balls around to his heart's content, then all of a sudden decide to press us and getting something out of it.
March 1, 201610 yr the table looks a bit more repectable - if West H lose we'll be only 4 points off a Uefa League spot! I thought Hazard looked better at the start of this game playing alongside Kenedy. They looked like they had a good understanding. But honestly if he did move on this summer I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. Edited March 1, 201610 yr by carrickblue
March 1, 201610 yr The folk who've joined this year need to embrace what we're doing and where we're at, it's a whole lot better than where we were. I ruddy enjoyed that and I'm loving that we won again.
March 1, 201610 yr On a positive note...it was good to see Pato on the bench rather than making the tea and cutting the oranges at half time. I trust he carved his name into the bench while he had the chance.
March 1, 201610 yr 2 away wins in a row is pretty impressive, I would have taken 4 points out of these 2 if anyone asked a week ago. Give Kennedy/Tarore start is the only positive thing out of this game. Senior players were playing with second gears after we took the early lead. Realistically, even if we win every league game now, we will still miss the CL spot, there's just no extra motivation for the players to put in that effort. I expect Saturday game will be worse, with everyone preparing for the PSG game.
March 1, 201610 yr Decent game. Felt we were a little lethargic at times - Fabregas and Hazard looked tired, but we have played a lot in a short period and that period is continuing. Good to get a win as we could easily have come away with a draw at best.
March 1, 201610 yr Do we still have a mathematical chance of top 4 ? 30 points to play for and we are 8 points off City and 12 points of Arsenal ( both have played less games than us though ). How I wish we won at least 2 of all those draws after Guus took over...
March 2, 201610 yr Thought we were sloppy defensively during the second half. A win is a win, so will happily take it.
March 2, 201610 yr 2 DMs on the park, still no one followed Redmond for the run, really poor. It's similar to the home match against them few months ago, we had so many chances but only took 1, then had to defend teeth and nails in the last 10-15.
March 2, 201610 yr Author Good first half, appalling second half. Lucky to get away with 3 points. Guus and his subs nearly killed us today. He took off our best 2 players.
March 2, 201610 yr Author Having said that we went from first 2 wins in a row in the league to 3 so, not matter how we got there it is good.
March 2, 201610 yr Come on doommongers...yes it wasn't perfect, but fcuk me we're winning games, staying unbeaten and climbing the table...after the depressing first four months, we should be enjoying this...
March 2, 201610 yr The second half was absolutely brutal to watch. Back to the start of the season feelings...anxiety...lots of it. But...at least we won.
March 2, 201610 yr The folk who've joined this year need to embrace what we're doing and where we're at, it's a whole lot better than where we were. I ruddy enjoyed that and I'm loving that we won again. Exactly, Droogba. I don't get some of the negative responses here. An away game at Norwich was never gonna be a shoo-in, so I'm glad that we managed to hold onto our lead and get the 3 points. Anyway, we're finally in the top 10 again! Hopefully we can get a favourable set of results from the Stoke, Liverpool and Watford games to stay as 8th.
March 2, 201610 yr I'm always happy with a Chelsea win. So. yes, agreed it was not the greatest win or performance. However it keeps the momentum going Blue is the colour.
