Right so how are you going to get them to the club if Costa is going to play two games a week for a season?

Wow a massive 100mins in the prem after 26 games, is that how quickly you can judge someone?. He has had 4 starts in Cup competitions and scored 2 goals. IMO Costa has been very poor since the China talk but has scored a few goals so the same situation really.

People also have to appreciate the mental situation Batman is in, he was a big buy in the summer and has hardly any chances to play. So when he does play his 2mins here or there his probably desperate to impress. His in a situation where he could score a 5min hat trick and still not play when Costa is unavailable. No one could impress given the minutes Batman has and knowing your not even the sub forward anymore but be a great confidence booster.

Nice even with every minute he plays he is probably so desperate to do something to impress because he knows his lucky to get 2mins in a game. Not really a nice situation to be in.

Least Conte can say he sees him in training everyday but I would say it would be nice to see him start 6 plus games on the trot to really give him a fair judgement.

He hasn't had a fair chance for me, and deserved to start a couple of games in Jan whilst the Costa/China talk was ongoing. Still think Costa looks poor, however he's a clinical finisher and can overshadow a poor 89 mins with 1 minute of brilliance.

I think we'll loan Michy next year and sign a backup (Llorente esque) signing to help Costa with the fixture congestion. I think next season will be Costa's last with us, and once he leaves in the Summer of 2018 we will look into the Michy situation again and establish whether he's ready to become a Chelsea starter.

Let's not forget next season is a big one for players, it's a World Cup season and players will want to be playing regularly at a high level. Ie I can't see Costa going to China this summer (unless he's an absolute fool) and in return I can't see Michy sitting on the bench as he has this season.

100 or so prem minutes for 1 goal and 1 assist. 5 cup starts for 4 goals and 2 assists. 

I think he's done pretty well, not just in terms of stats, but actually played pretty well. Especially the first couple of weeks of the season.

First game off the bench assist for the winner. Second game off the bench scored the equaliser. First 90 minutes 2 goals (and should have been 3 but for an incorrect offisde iirc). That sort of start buys you more chances, not less, but Conte pretty much stopped playing him. After the Arsenal game and the change in formation he has been completely phased out, just getting the odd couple of minutes here and there.

Costa has been great, and Bats hasn't deserved to start in front of him, but he's deserved more time on the pitch than he's been given.

Those two are great choices.

Rumors that we're going to sell him in the summer. 

I hope he stays, don't think he's that bad of a player given the limited opportunities he had. Next season we won't be relying on Costa play every game. If rumour is true he wants a guaranteed spot in the team, he's not going to get it, even Cesc/Pedro/Willian/JT don't get that.

Our percentage of signing successful centre forwards over the years has been below average along with maybe left back.

Batman has the best reserved seat on the bench at the moment. 

He will get his league debut after we wrapped up the league title. I'm sure he's frustrated, but a potential league medal and loads of money should make up for most of the disappointment.

Don't really get why Conte doesn't like to use him. He scores when he plays and his link up and hold up play is no worse than Diego's.

He must have the most loyalty points at the club, no problem for tickets!

ruben came in as second striker yesterday for 15 minutes (vs michy's usual 15 seconds) and did really well, so now michy's behind him in the pecking order

looking unlikely but i hope the club can convince him to stay and get loaned out next season, have a feeling he'll potentially be another lukaku/debryune if we sell him

Can see him staying and getting loaned. At the moment I can't see anyone paying the money we'd want back for him and personally no one else will pay the wages we are paying him, thought to be about the 90K mark.

thought loftus-cheek looked good when he came on. there is obviously something conte sees in ruben that he doesn't see in michy. it feels as though more money has just been wasted though which could have gone back into the kitty for the summer.

If Costa plays both games for Spain, I'd be tempted to start him against Palace at home. Michy will be on the bench most likely behind Lukaku, and just say that Costa needs the rest for Man City.

He probably meant costa would start 2 games a week if costa and bats were both here. Because bats isn't good enough. If bats goes and we don't sign someone good then costa will obviously play 2 games a week.

But if bats leaves then we will get someone else in who is probably actually a good player and costa wouldn't play 2 games a week. Even if bats stays I think we will still get someone else in.

I think lukaku and morata will both come in and costa + bats will both go.

Also can we stop going on about 100 minutes. Conte sees him every day in training. If he isn't performing well enough in training then he can't "be given a chance".
