August 15, 20169 yr Did you notice that certain members only turned up to the match day thread when West Ham equalised ? I'm all for people having an opinion, even have a go at the team when it's deserved, but some seem to only turn up when things go wrong.Muppets mate, some seem desperate to see us fail so they can moan and complain. Remember we had one last week who said he hoped we got stuffed so we would make some signings, unbelievable. Edited August 15, 20169 yr by dkw
August 15, 20169 yr Our def is wrong for the high line and maybe just broken. Kante had nowt much to do in this game but we were crying out for some creativity up front. Oscar will score more than Fab but won't create anywhere near as many. Much fitter and aggressive than last year which was pleasing to see, however, I would still like to see something new as we have 1 player different than two seasons ago. After last season that is not a risk we should be taking. We got the 3 and as long as we can keep doing that then we are heading in the right direction and i enjoyed the pressing in the opponents half
August 15, 20169 yr That booking for 'dissent' is a stupid rule, what classifies dissent? Seems like any form of somewhat raised voice is a booking, Costa was hardly screaming in his face. There's going to be a lot of very soft red cards this year for all teams. I don't even know what Costa did wrong there. He didn't go over screaming at the ref, it looked like he ran over to tell the ref what he seen. I have already seen much worse from other players on this opening weekend. It's like they targeted Costa to set an example of what is to come this season. If that is the case then that is just bullsh*t.
August 15, 20169 yr Classy post-match interview from James Collins there, a real credit to his otherwise disappointing club.
August 15, 20169 yr Bobby Moore (you thieving c**t), John Cleese, Russel Brand, Katy Perry dry your eyes you pikey c**ts.
August 15, 20169 yr Dare I say ivanovic played well go on mate - you can be a Chelsea Supporter if you want Classy post-match interview from James Collins there, a real credit to his otherwise disappointing club. did you see him crying after the final whistle? He left it all on the pitch Edited August 15, 20169 yr by robdog
August 15, 20169 yr Everyone is entitled to an opinion...it's called democracy mate There having an opinion and then there's being a needlessly pessimistic dick. You seem to be w**king over the Manchester teams wins over Bournemouth and Sunderland, both massively inferior teams to West Ham when they were both fairly average. Not only that, you seem to be dismissing the team AND manager after our first game of the season which we convincingly won. You then say Conte got lucky. We dominated almost every second of that game and when we needed a goal the gambled and put on Michy who set up the goal. If we got anything other than a win in that game Conte would have been massively unlucky.
August 15, 20169 yr Been a while since I posted. Was so chuffed with the performance tonight. We looked a different team, and I think Conte has the tactics spot on. Main difference was how we played 3 light weight attacking midfielders, fabregas and matic last year. Now we have Kante, matic, and Oscar. Off the ball so much better at retaining possession. Also, fantastic to see Hazard play well, our defence looked solid and a positive start for Mitchy. And.... You gotta love Conte!!
August 15, 20169 yr Costa probably lucky to stay on, but after last season I couldn't give a damn. In any case the Free Kick that lead to the corner for their goal was extremely soft, but nobody will mention that. No sympathy for us last year when everything went against us, so absolutely no sympathy for the club that was gifted a stadium by the British taxpayers.
August 15, 20169 yr Muppets mate, some seem desperate to see us fail so they can moan and complain. Remember we had one last week who said he hoped we got stuffed so we would make some signings, unbelievable. I just don't get why some have that kind of attitude. I would rather support what we have than want us to get stuffed just so we can get some new players in. I even see similar attitudes in cup competitions. Some say they would rather see us lose than progress further in the competition just so it doesn't mess up our league run. That is crazy, i want Chelsea to win every game, i would never say i want to see us lose under any circumstance.
August 15, 20169 yr Should we be worried about Cesc being dropped?... No, we should be happy to see that Kante and Matic played well together.

Like you I can't understand how anyone can think anything else. It's so f**king weird.
August 15, 20169 yr Ah, you can tell we won, Sky are going with their usual Chelsea negativity early on. Only Neville has been balanced, like he always is.
August 15, 20169 yr Brilliant Performance. There were patches in the game where it went drab but it might be tactical with the players earning some rest before the next burst. Energy was brilliant top to bottom. Kante was the main difference from the last season. Matic got a lot of stick and he was sub-par, but I always felt he was burdened with the job of 2 people. Honestly would love to see the stats of how many plays each of these players broke. Felt both of them were absolutely immense. Hazard looks up for it. He looks hungry and wants to show the world who exactly he is. Courtouis - Barely had anything to do and could not do much for the goal. Azpi and Iva - Brilliant steal for the penalty. Defensively were solid. We actually used our FBs in attack which was surprising and kept pushing their wingers back. For me, our FBs were probably our weakest point with both getting singled out on the counter multiple times last season. Dont think there was a single moment their. Credit to Matic and kante and Oscar too who never let that happen. Still feel Ivanovic will struggle massively as he simply is not good enough. JT-GC: dealt with Carrol well. Dont know if it was tiring or something else but JT should not have missed that clearance at the end, could have cost us massively. Kante-Matic: Like I said above, they were both brilliant. Oscar - Really good performance. An odd bad pass here and there but put his heart and soul in the game. If he did not have a history of consistently being inconsistent, then I would have wanted him but that boat has sailed. Also, with Matic and Kante, its the perfect setting for cesc or as good a setting as we can find. Honestly Oscar is no where near cesc except for in "energy" but really think cesc would benefit a lot in a 4-3-3 with kante and matic. Willian - typical willian performance. Ran, ran and ran somemore. Needs to better his corners. That one to oscar was a great one but needs to be more consistent and stop hitting the first man. Costa - started awful and honestly thought he was poor except for the goal. Being a striker, I would take that, but honestly, can he stop trying to dribble/bulldoze past 3 defenders at the same time. Dont know how many times he lost the ball. Hazard - brilliant performance. We need this to be repeated 38 times this season. If we are really selling cesc, he is going to be our main creative outlet. Needs to show why he should be feared. Subs Batshuayi - really impressive debut. He and costa were quite good together. Helped Costa a lot too. Good start, Brilliant result. Still not happy with the team sheet and would love 2 changes in it (Ivanovic and Oscar) but good performance overall.
August 15, 20169 yr This interviewer from Sky is a right prat... Asked awful questions all night. The way he worded the question about Costa's tackle (there's an incident I need to bring to your attention), you'd swear it was a deliberate attempt to hurt or injure someone instead of a striker closing down the keeper and missing getting the ball by a fraction of a second.
August 15, 20169 yr At least Slaven Billic isn't giving Sky what they want, even he said Costa wasn't reckless and he was just trying to win the ball.
