Swansea Vs Chelsea (PL) Sun 11/09/ 2016 KO 16:00 GMT

As much as I would like to see Luiz and Alonso play, I am happy to see the same team that have won us the first 3 games and integrate Luiz back in and Alonso into the team.

Were it not for wc qualifiers I doubt very much there would be any changes immediately.

Willian started against Uruguay but subbed and Oscar not even on bench.

Team is playing well.

I reckon ivan and Cahill will be dropped for this one. Other than that business as usual. I hope cesc will start, but not so sure.

Doubt this will happen unless Cahill and Ivan play both international games really close to the Swansea game.  Think he'll stick with the back four that is undefeated so far this season

How anyone thinks we are going to launch straight into a back three I'll never know.

Zero practice games with a back 3
Zero competitive games with a back 3
Zero time with the 2 new players that apparently make that formation work

making two changes (3 I guess as cesar would be moving to the right) to a back four that has just kept a clean sheet would be a little odd. especially when the players would have less time to train together than usual due to the internationals.

on the other hand ivanovic has huge problems with pace. I'd be inclined to put alonso in immediately.

Oscar isnt in the Brazil squad.

It's interesting to see how conte will line up now.. it's been too defensive line up for the last 3 PL games to my liking, got lucky on the 1st 2 games..

Personally, based on what we have currently, I'd like to see something like this:

-- GC ----- JT ------- DL --

----------- NK -------------

- DA ----- CF -------- MA -

----------- EH -------------

------- MB ---- DC ---------

Willian/Moses should be the next in line to replace either DL or MA or DC or even MB depending on the situation and tweak the formation accordingly..  Hopefully conte doesn't put his favoritism on the likes of BI, NM, OO which will annoy many, me especially..

Fully expect the same back four as against Burnley and rightly so. The team played well and kept a clean sheet; new signings will need to get to know Conte's demands and then prove in training they deserve a place in the starting 11. Will be nice to see them on the bench though and if all is going well potentially a token run out for one of them perhaps.

I would play Alonso for this game, just to avoid seeing Ivanovic against Montero again.

If Ivan does start getting skinned by Montero again then count on Alonso coming on Dave reclaiming his rb position and Ivan on the bench for the rest of season maybe starting the odd cup game now and then....KTBFFH :good2:

Since we've got Loserpool after this I think we'll see Sideshow and Alonso at some stage but maybe off the bench. With the international break there won't have been much time to get the guys organised. Looking forward to this, it feels like this is where the Conte era begins for real.

We can't play Swansea with Alonso AND Luiz. You can't just take the risk of putting two new defenders like this.

Defence must be solid. If there's any chance one of them to play, I think it will be David Luiz in the place of Terry.

If you ask me, I would put him on Cahill. But remember what was said in the end of the last season, that Terry would have a "different role"...

So sadly the coming of Luiz could see Terry on the bench. Very sad though...

I think it will be the same team, unless we get injured or fatigued players out of the international week. If it's up to me, I'd pick Cesc over Oscar, or Luiz over Matic. Despite winning 3 games, i'm far from convinced by the midfield ( apart from Kante).Swansea had a slow start to the season, this one is for the taking!

WIth the 2 Manc clubs playing on Saturday this is our chance to make a mark and hopefully go top, lets just hope for a draw in Manchester, in the past we have fluffed opportunities like this, let's see if Conte can transplant some ruthlessness into the team.

maybe I am just a myopic CFC fan, but when I see these dudes training for the next match I get a warm & fuzzy feeling about the rest of the season

Glad our players returned fit, no injuries, no suspensions. Now it's our time to focus back on the league and continue our fine form. Our defence looked good against Burnley, plus we got two new defenders who are aiming to play in the first team, hard decision for Conte, I don't expect them both to play, maybe one of them will start.

Anyways, I expect us to show the same football we showed against Burnley, play quick, move the ball faster than opponent returns to their position and let our wingers shoot when they have a chance to do so.

I'd like to see this starting line:

--------------------------- Courtois ----------------------------

Azpilicueta ---- Cahill ----- Terry ----- Marcos Alonso

--------------------------- Kante ---------------------------------

Willian ------------ Fabregas --- Matic ------- Hazard

---------------------- Diego Costa --------------------------

COME ON CHELS!!!!
