Do we overlook Cahill's defensive shortcomings just because he scores a few goals?

There's been penalties given for it this year, when it's as blatant as that was and by all accounts it looked like it was directly in Mason's eyeline he has to give it.

 

We need another goal. I'd change it and bring Pedro or Willian on for Matic. When we attack them they struggle, when we sit back we struggle.

 If Conte takes Costa off that isn't going to happen.

I feel Conte will make some changes after 60mins for impact if Soton gets back level. The way it is going so far their equalizer is not far fetched.

Not sure. One thing i have noticed of late is that teams seem to be getting at our full backs quickly and putting many crosses into the area. Maybe this is disrupting our shape which then opens up space for the opposition to get through and score.

The problem with 3-4-3 is that we sacrifice defensive rigidity for attacking play. It doesn't help that Alonso and Cahill, whilst good, need to improve significantly.

That's his 10th but like Charierre said that deadline has gone so he escapes a ban however 3 more gives him a 3 match ban. Anyone who picks up 10 yellows now escapes a ban.

conceding goals happens. it's very rare a team goes for long periods not conceding. i don't care if we are conceding, as long as we are outscoring our opponents and winning games. we can tighten up the defence further next season.
