Chelsea Vs Sunderland (PL) KO Sun 21/5 2017 15:00GMT

Featured Replies

The final Premier League crystal ball predictions are here. I'd like to think the ball has been something of a good luck charm this season  Well, maybe it hasn't made a difference. Anyway, here are the predictions:

Champions (3-4-3): Baxter; Zouma, Aké, Azpilicueta; Aina, Kanté, Fàbregas, Alonso; Pedro, Hazard, Loftus-Cheek (c)
Subs: Eduardo, Luiz, Terry, Mati?, N. Chalobah, Willian, Costa

Prediction: Champions 0-0 Sunderland

Nathan Baxter, of all people, will get a medal apparently, as he starts in between the sticks. Captain, Leader, Legend John Terry misses his own farewell match, at least as a starter, as Conte has him on the bench. That's rough, Antonio  Sunderland does itself no disgrace by finishing the season with a point at the home of the champions. COYB!

What does the golden glove situation look like? I imagined Thibo being at the top but is Lloris that close?

Thanks to Ben Chillwell scoring last night, Courtois is still 1 clean sheet ahead of Lloris, 16 vs 15 (I think).

At the very least, Courtois will be sharing it with Lloris, if Spurs can keep a clean sheet on Sunday and Courtois does not feature or leaves in a goal. I'd start a strong enough side anyway but rest vital players.

No doubt it will be a huge party at the Bridge tomorrow. however I know Conte won't let players go easy on Sunderland. He demanded the win number 30 and who's going to bet against him. I think Courtois/Costa/Pedro/Alonso/Moses etc will play, after all they do need match practice ahead of the FA cup. There will be tears to be shed, and I can't wait for the season finale, an amazing season for us.

Let the three match post game celebrations climax tomorrow with the lifting our fifth PL Trophy! It has been a week of well earned celebration for the players and fans.

I hope JT gets the start and is then carried off much like Drogba two years ago in the same setting vs Sunderland. JT is the last of the Big Four from our titles - Lampard, Drogba, Cech and Terry. Of the past 20 years, and the numerous trophis since 1997, those four plus four more - Zola, Cole, Hazard and Fabregas - are my favourite Eight from the past 20 years.

It will be emotional tomorrow, but equally exciting as we look to next year with Conte and not just being happy in the Champions League but adding summer transfers and competing for the CL title!

Could be Diego's last game at the Bridge as well. I know he brings out mixed emotions in everyone, but he has been a beast during our title runs two of the past three years. If it is in fact his farewell, then I say thank you Diego for your years here. You will always be a Blue!

Conte has stated 30 wins is an important goal at this juncture so a lot of regulars in the XI tomorrow I am sure. Again JT deserves the start even if subbed out early.

I will go with 5-0 Chelsea on coronation day tomorrow vs Sunderland for the King's of England - Chelsea FC!

Come on you Chelsea!! :bluescalf::bluescalf:

Going to be at the game, but I always record when we are on live, especially for an occasion like tomorrow when we will get the trophy...but sky aren't showing us, instead it's the non-event that is race for fourth position...pretty outrageous that the champions aren't being put on on the day they lift the trophy...saw a stat that Liverpool break a record tomorrow of being broadcast live 29 times...for such a mediocre season, that is ridiculous

In case you have not noticed, the press and media loves Liverpool. Heaven help us if they ever win a PL title!!  :face_palm:

Sadly I have noticed it all too well...still if memory serves me right, the game where the Champions lift the trophy is always broadcast..clearly chelsea didn't fit the script and they showed the penultimate game against Watford instead

The last game of the season and we'll see it out as Champions!

It will be a fun day by all accounts I'm sure. Just hope our opposition don't act like a bunch of sore losers though and want to take it out against the No. 1 team.

Also, it will be interesting to see how Conte shapes today's lineup given our FA final is on next weekend.

Hope all of you have fun watching today.

This is the team I am expect to see today.

            Begovic
     Cahill - Terry - Ake
Azpi - Kante - Matic - Alonso
        Willian - Pedro
             Costa
However I would quite like to see Fabregas and Loftus-Cheek in the starting line up but i think match sharpness for next Saturday will be too important.

Expect a truly buoyant atmosphere which hopefully the team can recreate on the pitch.

6-0 Chelsea, Costa for a hat trick (which is hopefully not as a fair well) Azpi, Terry and Alonso for the other goals.

Not that it'll do much but I've just emailed a complaint to Sky relating to their coverage today, I'm sooo angry. I took it as a f**king given that we'd be on the tv, it's common f**king sense.

Arghhhh I f**king hate Sky Sports. C#########NTSSSSS:dead_horse::dead_horse::dead_horse:

@Argo pointed out that it's actually not always the case and there have been occasions where they haven't shown it. Although I think every season since 2005 it has been shown so there's been a consistency of showing it in prior seasons.

Just leaving for the game. I will go through the match thread later, I don't want to see any misbehaving on the thread today!!

It will be very quiet as the games not on Sky lol

They have enough bloody channels to show three games...will be surprised if Liverpool and city games are not a procession

I agree and they've shown 4 games on the last day before so it can't be a case of only been allowed to show so many. I think it's an absolute disgrace that we aren't on.
