Getting abuse from Bayern fans now, pretty embarrassing abusing a 19 year old for a poor performance in a friendly, I think he is definitely leaving and we are his most likely destination

With Costa leaving, we need someone to fill our quota for a player that looks at least 10 years older than they  actually are.
Sanches could be our guy.

Is that really what's happening, or are they just loosing belief after yet another poor outing?

I didn't see the game so have no opinion on Sanches's display but, fans don't turn on a player, especially a young player, after just one bad game. It takes more than that and you know it.

People who have exclusively positive opinions of Renato Sanches surprise me. A great deal of what this kid does is very, very ordinary.

To be fair Bayern put in a much more professional performance against us.

Liverpool just ran around - they really didn't have to do much else.

I don't think we should overrate Bayern's performance against us. Cesc & N'golo was the wrong pairing to start with and, on top of that, Cesc produced his worst ever display in a Chelsea shirt. Further, he was far from the only one playing badly. We were extremely poor that day, so Bayern shone but the difference between the sides is not as big as it looked. There is a clear difference, but it's not quite as embarrassingly large as we made it seem.

He is just inconsistent like you would expect from any 19 year old.

Spot on.  There's a player in there, he just needs time to develop.

Well that may be so, but from what I've seen he's been pretty consistent. Consistently ordinary. The reaction of some Bayern fans suggest that this is their take too.

Wow, if Swansea will sign him on loan...

Good move for him. Good player who moved far too early to a bigger club and new country. He's got a chance now to rebuild his career and if he does well for Swansea watch the main clubs here flocking around for his signature in 12 mths time.

You can see why he never ended up with one of the top teams this season. That half of football he played last night was up there with the worst performances i have ever seen. I have never seen so many bad passes from one player before, he was awful.

Really? Have you not watched Willian this season?

Dodged a bullet there, yes Swansea wasn't a great team but if he is as good as he believe he is, he should be the star player in the poor team, instead of being the faded big name player. I'm going to say it out loud, that ex-director of football did make a right call on this one.

Agreed. Something really wrong goes with him, was looking like a top talent at that Euro.

I was called a know nothing for saying this previously, but Sanches did not look especially good at that Euro. I posted all touches videos earlier in the thread but they'll pop up if you search YouTube. Watch 'em, and decide if your impression about the quality of his performances in that tournament survive the review.

Sanches scored a good goal during the competition, was a part of the winning squad, and had just joined Bayern in a mega money deal. In other words, his profile was high and the hype was in full effect. Nothing has happened since which contradicts the opinion I formed then, nor to support the opinions of those who feel, or felt, that he looked good in those Euros.

The one time Golden boy is struggling to get a game at Swansea. A lot of people, at a lot of clubs, made the right decision about Sanches.
