The centre-back turned 31 in January and was the captain of the Viola squad, with 14 senior Italy caps and one goal to his name. He had become a father only two weeks ago. According to Udine Today, the player failed to wake up this morning when he was at the La di Moret hotel in Udine on a training camp with the squad, awaiting today’s match with Udinese. The reports were spreading rapidly and Fiorentina released a statement this morning to confirm the news. “Fiorentina are profoundly shaken and forced to announce that their captain Davide Astori has died,” read the statement. “For this terrible and delicate situation, and above all out of respect for his family, we appeal to the sensitivity of the media.” Udinese-Fiorentina has obviously been called off. There are reports the rest of the Serie A games this weekend could also be cancelled. Shocking news RIP God that's terrible news, his poor family must be devastated. Rip.
March 4, 20188 yr And we think we got problems.....f**k Arsenal are just shocking. Hope Wegner stays for another few years
March 4, 20188 yr Arsenal just imploding before our eyes....they look completely shot, no confidence, no belief - wow
March 4, 20188 yr Just now, Ernie_blue said: Poor Cech Never been the same since the injury....being totally left out to dry lately. Just goes to show how good our defence was in it's heyday.
March 4, 20188 yr on my coverage of the Arsenal game they've just put up a graphic saying that Brighton have had 6 shots on target (so far) today which is the most they've achieved in a PL game - wow
March 4, 20188 yr my other useless fact is that Arsenal haven't come back to win an away game from 2-0 down since Bolton in 2008 (BBC)
March 4, 20188 yr No sympathy for Pete whatsoever, he’s a blue legend and always will be, but he specifically wanted to play for that shower, and we obliged. He was worth an ‘extra 10 points a season’ though remember....LOL
March 4, 20188 yr i can not even laugh at arsenal any more seeing chelsea are no longer capable of beating them

March 4, 20188 yr I do like that Bright RB, Schelotto, he's got pace and can cross a decent ball, he did quite well when they played us
March 4, 20188 yr Brighton need to defend with a bit more composure - they seem to panic a bit under pressure
March 4, 20188 yr I can't imagine Wenger will get fired, so looks like Arsenal are going to have to wait at least another season after this to see what happens. Maybe Wenger will retire at seasons end. Probably works out for the best if he does. Surely he's had enough of the same old sh*t, year in year out. Edited March 4, 20188 yr by Famous CFC
March 4, 20188 yr Izquierdo is some knobhead. That's at least 3 times he's got into positions where teammates have been in better positions and he hasn't passed, instead taken the shot himself and put it wide. His teammates having a go at him too.
