January 20, 20188 yr United have been far from impressive again today. They may win, but teams with more care and intelligence on the ball will find a way through them.

January 20, 20188 yr I'm sure Sean Dyche will moan about the ref not giving his team anything today, but barely any of these challenges on them have been fouls. And people moan about Morata going down easily, Burnley's lot have been doing it all game.
January 20, 20188 yr Very very few games have utd been impressive......very few. Yet teams dont take much advantage.......
January 20, 20188 yr f**king utd people........or rather joses utd. The amount of luck...jammyness and help from officials im most games willl insure pts.
January 20, 20188 yr So jammy. This utd team doesn't look like a Jose side at all. So open, balls flying all over the place yet they win. So lucky
January 20, 20188 yr be positive guys!! We won 4-0 against brighton which see us back on 3rd ! Dippers will have to win by 3 if they want to overtake us again! A good day for me as long as CFC win, no matter what ! And if you wanted to know, QPR have lost by 3 at home and Leeds lost 3-4 against millwall after having led 3-2 up until the 87th minute !! So Cheer up guys !
January 20, 20188 yr Don't get me wrong City are amazing, but it annoys me how teams have 0 confidence when playing against them. Premier League is mediocre outside the top 6, teams are just glad to sit back and have a chance of maybe taking a point.
January 20, 20188 yr So Stirling just went down under an identical challenge to the one on Morata, strangely the commentary felt it was 100% a penalty, not even a mention if him going down easily etc.
January 20, 20188 yr Alright, I can't see how Sterling earns a pen and Morata against Norwich is a dive. This is just arbitrary

The bias definitely exists. If you're English, you have a better chance of winning those penalties, if you're foreign its "dive, not strong enough, you don't win those in the Premier League" Hypocrites.

Unbelievable isn't it, not even a mention of it possibly being a dive, even though it was absolutely identical in every way.
January 20, 20188 yr At least the bar codes have one back....not that it will make much difference other than ruining City's goal difference

Look what Liverpool did to City and look how open they are at the back, they still won the game and scored 4 goals past them. They had their average full backs pressuring them and chasing their defenders, City couldn't handle it.

Liverpool are a top 4 team playing at home with some of the best attacking players in the league, any team outside the top 5 have nowhere near the same quality. At the Etihad its a very difficult situation for smaller clubs to be in, go for it knowing you will most likely concede at least 5 or keep it down to 2 or 3 which is expected anyway. At home you have a point, any team in the league need to show some ambition, Newcastle at home was so depressing to watch.

But that's not what wobbled City, did you not see Robertson run at their defence which lead the Sane goal? They already had 4 attacking players up front and their left back ran from his position at their defender which forced him to give the ball away. Gomes was the same, Liverpool do have a few average players in that side. I'm not saying it's simple but it's definitely better than sitting back, they had over 80% possession today ffs, that should not happen in a football match. Sitting back and defending clearly isn't working, I'm just not sure why teams are playing them with such low enthusiasm, like it's a fixture you just write off before playing. That City defence is definitely their weak link, Otamendi and John Stones did not become world class CB's overnight. Edited January 20, 20188 yr by Slojo

Sitting back and defending clearly isn't working, I'm just not sure why teams aren't exposing them. City had 64% against Liverpool at Anfield which is quite high, i imagine when City play Chelsea it will be in the 70's. Also playing at home makes a difference and it certainly would with Robertson running around like a nutter. At home you do expect every team to show some sort of imagination, tbh you are right and it is easier to just go for it but i can see why teams sit 10 men back. You can't really win, sit back and lose or go for it and lose. Most likely to lose your job losing 7-0 than 3-0.
January 20, 20188 yr I kinda feel for the other teams outside the top 6. they should create a league of their own with their own "non top 6 PL title"
