And at the time his team was in the relegation zone wasn't it? Anyway, heard all this praise for liverpool and klopp after they thrashed Arsenal then it reverted to form of being unable to hold onto wins so guess we'll see. Edited January 15, 20188 yr by Stim

Regardless of the hatred of Liverpool on here (believe me I hate them too), They are in far better form than us, and have a far better attacking threat than we have too. In their recent 3 matches they have managed to beat Leicester, Burnley and City. Guess how we did against those teams! Some fans won't like to admit it (and I know it's hard), but Liverpool are better than Chelsea! Their defense is the only area which I would say is weaker than ours, but it's now far stronger than it was last year. And if you're defending from the front and outscoring your opponents then I would say it doesn't matter so much about defense as it does to us. What I will say is this. Depending on our transfers this January, I believe we will finish below City, Liverpool & United. It could be a fight between us and Spurs for 4th. Don't think we will fall further than that unless we somehow end up worse than Arsenal. But even we can't be that bad! Can we?
January 15, 20188 yr Bet Sanchez will say - it's a dream to play for City and Pep.. oh f*, I'm at United with Jose, oh well, that's also a dream of mine. It's pretty sad we didn't make a play for him, it's dead obvious Conte wanted him. I don't blame Roman for not writing a blank cheque to sign Sancheze, we just f* up our investment on average players and missed out the good ones

I think that is a risk and think we need to dispense the 3-5-2 and go 4-3-3 or 4-4-2. Using last seasons attacking quartet and if they underperform use the youngsters a couple are showing potential.
January 15, 20188 yr Paul Lambert to head up Stoke, interesting if he can repeat what he did at Villa that year they looked certain to go down: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42689053
January 15, 20188 yr Sanchez should go to United, there is too much young competition at City. At United they have natural strikers in Rashford and Martial playing on the wing and his other competition is Lingard and Mkhitaryan who is probably on the way out. Wonder if City are that ruthlessly nuts to offer more money to block United though.
January 15, 20188 yr Apparently City have balked at the agents request for money and said if you want that try Utd.
January 15, 20188 yr Usually happens when you go a goal behind. Be interesting to see how Lambert gets on, feels like a downgrade from Mark Hughes. Edited January 15, 20188 yr by Famous CFC
January 15, 20188 yr not sure if anyone posted this, but Barca had a major blow yesterday with Osumane Dembele getting injured & out for 3-4 weeks. He expected to return for the Chelsea vs Barca UCL match-up
January 16, 20188 yr http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11670/11210394/arsene-wenger-called-referee-mike-dean-a-disgrace-as-fa-reveal-reasons-for-touchline-ban It's amazing how Wenger has had such minimal disciplinaries against him over the years, every year it's the same with him and referees and he's always getting away with it. I remember when he went out of his box and pushed Mourinho and nothing happened about it, can't stand the French w**ker. Especially all the Wenger arse lickers like Keown who always say he hasn't got a malicious bone in his body and he was a victim to nasty Mourinho. Ian Wright called Jose a bully for the specialist in failure comments, what people forget is that Wenger started the whole argument in the first place by saying Jose is insecure and afraid of failure.

January 17, 20188 yr I think what truly makes that goal is the fact that the keeper injured himself and had to go off afterwards!
