My customary match of the day rant...how the hell did arsenal get top billing and then Chelsea were below city's routine win too? Palace didn't turn up (neither did Newcastle) did fcuk all and conceded terrible goals...can't comment on other games obviously but Brighton v Chelsea was far more of a contest (despite the scoreline), lots of action at both ends and had controversy to boot...baffled Chelsea game relegated behind these two...and just to show I don't wear blue specs 24/7, there have been plenty of matches lately where we were rightly dropped way down the order

James McCarthy is set to miss the rest of the season after the Everton midfielder suffered a double broken leg against West Brom.

The injury-hit McCarthy was on the receiving end of a challenge from Solomon Rondon during their Premier League encounter on Saturday.

Rondon was left in tears and had to be consoled by his team-mates after seeing McCarthy in agony on the floor.

It later emerged he suffered a compound fracture.

My God. This is absolutely terrible. I hope he'll recover quickly. One of the worst injuries that could happen to a player... A terrible accident.

Shearer says the challenge of Sterling was a penalty........after accusing Morata of diving the other day for the same thing. These pundits don't make things easy for themselves, no wonder why most people say they talk bollocks.

Yes, he was absolutely adamant on Wednesday that it's a contact sport and contact doesn't mean it's a pen ( he's right about that). He slammed Morata for going down easily (a fair point), but weirdly he saw laying a hand on Sterling, followed by the player dropping to the floor, as a legitimate penalty.

I think two games three days apart might be too much for him.

Horrible. I wish him a complete recovery.

Alright, I can't see how Sterling earns a pen and Morata against Norwich is a dive. This is just arbitrary

These ex-footballers pundits drive me f**king crazy with their inconsistent opinions on incidents from game to game

Marco Silva sacked at Watford. I personally found it amazing how he had such a high pedigree after seeing his team relegated last season, seemed like every club was after him at the beginning of the season.

I thought he was overrated after Hull, especially when he lost that must win game to already relegated Sunderland. He could get some attractive football played but Watford have been very poor for a while now. Started the season well but that was about it. Not sure why I'm seeing a lot of people saying that he's a brilliant manager and that his sacking is a disgrace.

I've also heard that he stopped caring about Watford when Everton turned his head...

"This has been a difficult decision and one not taken lightly. The Club is convinced the appointment of Silva was the right one and had it not been for the unwarranted approach by a Premier League rival for his services we would have continued to prosper under his leadership."

The bellends on sky just totally ignored it too,  just said Stirling goes down and it's a penalty. The utter hypocrisy is disgusting.

That’s sad if it’s true. I’m not too happy with my work place at the moment but I still turn up and give 100% while I’m there, like any professional should.

costa suffered a hamstring injury again. once again proving our medical team is top notch. if i remember right, he didn't have another hammy injury after his initial one with us first season coming from atletico, right? i've heard could be out for a month.

That also follows a ban for over-celebrating, we may just have parted ways at the right time.

I do think these sackings have become really stupid this season though, over 1/3 of Premier League managers have been sacked now. Every club outside of the top 6 seem to have really unrealistic expectations.

It's even more baffling when you look at the replacements bought in.

Bilic replaced by Moyes, he will be sacked in a season or two.

Koeman replaced by Allardyce, he won't last long.

Frank De Boer replaced by Hodgson, he'll probably be favourite to be sacked next season.

Pulis replaced by Pardew. Pardew always starts well, but after a year, people turn on him and he always ends up sacked.

Clement replaced by Carvahal. A pointless replacement, Swansea are still terrible, he will probably be replaced by next season.

Hughes replaced by Lambert. Paul Lambert is sh*t, he will be gone in the next year.

Shakespeare replaced by Puel. Probably the only clear upgrade.

Silva will probably be replaced by some other stop gap too.

Watford are 10th, what were they expecting from this season...?

To win the league probably  After Leicester won it, they probably think they all should be winning it now.

I think normally 10th is a very decent place in the table. But this season the bottom half of the Premier League has been so poor, Watford are 5 points of relegation whereas I think even last season 10th was about 10 points from that spot.

But, yes, it does make you wonder how high Watford's expectations are.

Why are you Guys even mad about the sterling pen? We are Chelsea ok......Chelsea. Every Chels supporter and their pets ought to have found out by now that we at Chels get nothing. Whether its the fa, pgmol, media, pundits and the refs.......we are the Black sheep that got lost. Im really sorry to say this......but it seems most you English do not have much integrity and honour.
