Really...not for me...never been that impressed with him...5 goals in 60 odd games for Sevilla doesn't strike me as the box to box attacking midfielder we're looking for...

Correct if I'm wrong but I don't there's a lot of midfielders nowadays that scores 10 + goals per season , the only on I can think is deli Ali but he played a lot games as a winger too

Coutinho scored 13 last season and Sigurdsson got 9...

Coutinho is an attacking midfielder, hardly a box to box player 

Don't remember him at Stoke but I watched his highlights on youtube and it looks like sh*t. I mean it takes an effort to look poor in youtube highlight reel. Is he really that good? Who watched him regularly?

Are we even linked with him?

I was never impressed with him at Stoke, he's like a different player at Sevilla though. Maybe La Liga suits him better.

Agreed, he didn't appear to be anything special at Stoke, in La Liga though he has more time on the ball.

No we are not link to him , I just thought since we are in a midfield crisis and he asked  for a transfer and he has PL experience he may be someone that we might be interested in... just wanted to know what everyone thought of him

Yes it was. Alli Coutinho snd Sigurdsson are basically forwards or second strikers. And therefore not relevant in the discussion about scoring box to bix midfielders. 

As for Nzonzi, good player but offers very little that Kanté and Bakayoko dont. Would prefer someone with bit different skilset

We need someone of the same skill set.

Lets be honest, we are not going to get a better passer of the ball than fabregas or a better dribbler/winger/forward than Hazard.

I would rather have Hazard and Cesc behind our strikers than one of willian/Pedro. Hence I feel, we need more game breakers like Kante and Bakayoko (I would even say Drinkwater) than a more of cesc CM.

How foolish do we look selling off Matic now. Whats worse is we have sold Matic for 40mil, and are looking to buy drinkwater for 35mil. What a joke.

He was a limited bruiser at Blackburn but really developed his game under Mark Hughes. He had an absolutely brilliant season a couple of years ago next to Krychowiak when Sevilla won the Europa League.

Plus, with Aké, Baker, Chalobah, Matic and Loftus-Cheek gone (and all but the latter permanently), we only have three senior centre mids on the books, one of whom is injured. We're unlikely to find anyone else of N'Zonzi's quality available.

Of course that is assuming that this story is even remotely true...

It's hard to get excited for a player that used to play for Stoke. 

didn't he have a great season before last, but last season he was pretty meh?

No it wasn't...look at the original question which was about midfielders who score more than 10+ goals a season...they're midfielders...

Alonso used to play for Bolton Wanderers and Sunderland.
