Riyad Mahrez

Probably best chance to get a good fee for Willian. He's 29 - turning 30 next season. I still like him and appreciate the qualities he has. But a big fee would be silly turn down imo.

Willian has better ability than Pedro, if I had to choose, I'd sell the Catalan first. Pedro is a hard worker and a fast runner, but he is 30 and any time he'll start slowing down and will lose any value to us or anybody else, for that matter.

There are rumours about potential MU interest in Willian and I guess, from the business point of view it makes sense but I'm getting tired of helping out Mourinho by selling him quality players.

Ideally, I'd get shot of Pedro and bring in Mahrez and Zaha. That would make our attacking midfield quite tasty.

I'm not totally sold on Mahrez, but he does have the added bonus of being available for the CL if we sign him in Jan.

Yes. I would have to agree. He makes better runs and has a better way for goal. Other than that, Willian is the better player. I'd like to see Pedro replaced for sure next season. Kind of goes without saying. The thing is with Willian, there's been interest reportedly, from Barcelona, Man It's, so... He'd get a better fee if sold sooner rather than later.

I don't think Pedro will be worth much in the market given his age.

Hazard, Willian, Mahrez, Zaha would be nice though (although my first choice of any attacking midfielder is Fekir.).

Pedro and Willian are decent players, but their main problem is final ball, so many attacks break down because they mess up a through pass to Hazard or Morata or whoever, so when we were playing mostly on the counter attack, we messed up a lot  of them. Give them a free shot at goal around the box and they'll probably score, but with this system we play at the moment of just passing it endlessly around the box with little penetration, they struggle to break teams down in such tight areas.

I like Mahrez, skill, speed, intricacy and ability to pick a good cross and score a decent goal.

The one but is how can we have any integrity if we go for a third Leicester player in just 2 seasons, far better for me if we were to get Fekir or Bailey.

Not really watched him play but some other folks on other football forums seem to rave about a guy called Malcom -- apparently MUFC want to bid 40m for him.

f**k me, they have rashford and martial who are quite similar from what i've seen from videos. not sure why they would want him. martial will leave i reckon, not sure he'll be happy to stay if they bring in another wide attacking player. the problem with these "wonderkids" from brazil is you just never know how good they will be. he is only 20 so could improve, but it's very difficult at that age to know. richarlison looks good and he's the same age, but they need to be consistently good to be successful at the top level.

I am not suggesting Mahrez is not quality but Zaha shines at C.Palace. He was sh*te at M.Utd. Suggest we look at better teams than Leicester and Palace for player recruitment.

Leicester who won the premier league? Huh. I'd take Mahrez and Vardy in a New York minute.

Also, remember that Anelka lad who we signed. He did alright. Class is class, doesn't matter who or where they come from.

Can't see Vardy being good for us, see him purely as a counter-attacking striker.

That's what I've been saying. It's just not right. Surely we've got a bit more about as us a club than to look at a team who won the PL a couple of seasons ago and just take the main players. Be like City or Utd now coming to us and nicking Azpi, Kante & Hazard.

Forget Mahrez - let's uncover a gem from somewhere else, or better still bring one through our highly thought of Academy.

Similar player to Anelka who had success here. Top player is Vardy he'd adapt and do well here. One of the top strikers in Europe. He plays for Leicester at he moment who mahrez a side are average. Imagine him with playmakers. Fireworks.

For me Vardy is a very strong finisher yet nowhere near the quality of Anelka. Anelka was much more of an all rounder striker and linked well with the team.

Where Vardy is good is running into space and finishing well yet he is poor when it comes to breaking down packed defences.

We missed a trick again today, Hudson-Odoi , on the bench for Everton, doesn't make it today for a match against a much weaker opponent. What could it have done for the lads confidence and the home crowd behind him than to give him 10 mins at the end in a match already won? These are the games we should be blooding the promising academy players.

Mahrez though is quality and would definitely add to the squad.

Most great players/strikers struggle to break down packed defences unless you are the G.O.A.T(Messi) he's proven he's up there with the best. Put him out there as a free agent and Real, Bayern and the rest would be having some of that. Pace, dribble, anticaption and awareness. What more you want. It's all about right time right place and hitting the net. Vardy a real gem. Just hope he gets a season with a top team to show how good he really is. Arsenal wanted him and Chelsea should Real interest. Look at the top talent striker wise in football they've all got great players creating for them. Harry Kane great, great player. Erikson and Alli behind him. Aguero has Silva, Sane and De Brueyne. CR7 has Kroos and Modric. Suarez has Messi, Rakitic and Iniesta.

Salah and KDB were his age when they joined CFC and looked poor when they were with us, perhaps it was the wrong timing for them or the wrong manager. Just because Zaha couldn't make it at United back then doesn't mean he can only do well at a small club. Plus, many much more experienced and bigger name players looked sh*te for MU at that time. I'm not saying he's definitely going to be a success, but he's worth the risk.

Would happily take either for the right price, we need more from an attacking point of view. Pedro has decent finishing instincs but honestly plays with his head down so much and it always seem's 50/50 if he actually has the ball under control. Willian, a much better footballer, silky skills, great ball control, quick and good work rate but has a complete brain freeze any time he gets in to the danger positions.

Jeez, why don't we just go and sign the whole Leicester side that won the league?

And then did so very very well the next season!

I also saw a couple of things posted above.

1.  Someone mentioned "integrity" when discussing professional football.  That made I giggle!

2. Someone else said Vardy was "one of the top strikers in Europe"  That really made I laugh out loud.  Spat my cold meats and pickles all over my new Crimbo jumper.  He's not even one of the top strikers in the east midlands. Runs fast and and had a smashing season in a year when the whole Leicester team played out of their skins and the rest of the league too a year off.

I mentioned integrity, how can a club have integrity if it keeps buying players from the same club it is competing against.

Surely we would be better to offer their scouts a better deal.

Bayern have been doing it for years now. How many players have they bought off Dortmund now ?
