The English media is setting the team up for the perfect failure. It's only Panama, defended like League 2 teams, hardly a measuring stick for WC credential. They got a chance with Kane in the team, but there are better teams out there and knock out games will be completely different. Usually I agree with Lampard on just about everything, but suggesting England would go all the way based on 2 games they should have won easily it's just being beyond optimistic.

Panama was overjoyed for scoring their first ever World Cup goal, not all teams have the same perspective...

The current u19's and u18's WC's both held by England. Lampard knows England have the youngest squad from the top teams in the WC. Plus with a bit of luck he can see a chance of Eng avoiding big teams until maybe the semi-final. The guy is right they have got a chance, with a bit of luck who knows ? They certainly have more chance than Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Holland, Italy, New Zealand................Basically all the countries they grow sour grapes in.

I am still mad about the mugging by Lichsteiner and the other Swiss mug against the Serbian striker, Mitrovic (sp?), it was a gang rape to say the least, and nothing was called.  Why couldn't VAR have called that one back since the stupid referee did not see it, and give Serbia a penalty?

Agree, the last 16 might be as far we go though hope not.

When we play Belgium I'm wondering whether we will player Dier along-side Henderson for extra defensive strength or if he will stay as is.

I wish a team would learn how to take advantage of how average Portugal are. They have become a team that always manage to find a way even though they play like crap more of than not.
