Chelsea Vs Stoke (PL) Sat Dec 30th 2017 15:00 UK

I liked Drinkwater and Bakayoko together, agood combination of the experienced old hound and the eager young puppy! Morata (and Pedro) should each have got at least another goal and that's the type of finishing that costs us in tight games.
Bad and all as Stoke were (and beset with injuries) they should have gotten two goals. Way better than Big Sam's dire Everton.

Drinkwater showing what all Leicester fans already knew, the man is class. Second gorgeous strike at the bridge, one of them against us.

No need for Bambi now. Danny and Kante the starters with Fab as the other choice. If he has a strong end to 2018 he makes the England squad.

Every goal scored by a non regular of the 1st team...willian and pedro when they are on it cause mischief not much has been happening with Haz and Morata up top, maybe the 3-4-3 for all games against lesser teams, and 3-5-2 for big games. I wonder if 5 goals will get us near the start on MOTD or if Man U's 0-0 draw will be before us....

Pedro’s goal was good but he too missed an easier chance, perhaps because by the 70th minute he starts to run out of puff.

Rudigiers pace and distribution are excellent. I see him as part of the backline for years to come

Danny starting to come in to his own.

What a difference an early goal makes against a park the bus team.

All  that said it won’t mean much if we can’t producce against L’Arse

Great win today. Also good to see us rest some players ahead of the Arsenal game. We should be fresh and ready to go on Wednesday. Will watch highlights on MOTD tonight, no doubt we'll be last on but should be worth it.

COME ON CHELSEA!!!!

The assists like the one for Pedro's are a joke, i remember when Ozil was picking up ones like that for fun and everyone was singing his praises. Just for the stat people IMO but a 5yrd pass to someone who scores a screamer is no assist in my eyes.

Perfect way to end the year, a nice break with the 1:0 rhythm. They made it easy for us, but we played well and should have scored a lot more. Willian is a starter with the form he's in, and Drinkwater finally showed why we signed him.

We were able to rest 2-3 key players, with Arsneal still have to play a game, we are in really good shape playing them mid week.

And we got a Penalty!
Someone must not be doing their job properly.

Not that we got much credit. All Shearer talked about was Hughes poor team selection and Wright talked about how the Stoke Striker had no support.

Was both not true though? Stoke had a lot of injuries and rested others for Monday.

My point is that they could've spent more time talking about the team that actually won the game 5-0 and give us a bit more credit instead of talking about Stoke the entire time.

Depends how you look at it. Stoke was missing alot of players and had two 18 yr olds playing fullback, they fully concentrated on monday before this game kicked off and that was probably in the players mindset. Chelsea obviously played well but i can understand if some are not going overboard.

Old hound? Drinkwater's 27 lol

Delighted to see Zappacosta get on the scoresheet with a sweet left footed strike. Hopefully, that will give him the confidence to play his game, without looking like he's got the weight of the world on his shoulders.

Oh how I have missed seeing goals from our midfield like the one Danny boy scored today. That was pure lampard that was. Beauty.

Cannot really call this a game as stoke were terrible. Thought the range of passing from drinkwater was really impressive. A vast improvement on baka.

Completely agree. It would be criminal to leave him out against Arsenal on the back of that performance.
