It’s certainly a big ask but, I think Bournemouth are one of Liverpool’s bogey teams, and if they drop points today, I think we have a very small chance of finishing top 4.

We’d need to win the rest of our games though, which is a huge ask.

I don't think he's more aerially adept than Morata, aerial play is Morata's strongest point. He just needs to learn to stay up and train his strength over the summer. He still hasn't gotten used to the physicality of the Premier League. I think he's got all the attributes though, and we'd be suckers to sell him. He's going to be one of the best in the world in a few seasons, and I really don't want another Lukaku/KdB/Salah happening.

Morata is quality in the air granted, but I honestly think that Giroud is even better. He's taller, he can jump higher and his headers are even more accurate.

The difference is that none of them were given a real chance, Morata has had plenty of chances. Also, they were 20 and 21 years old, Morata is 25, he's not exactly a prospect anymore, now is where we should start seeing the best of him. I am still yet to see anything in his career that suggests he is going to be a world class striker. If he is going to be a world class striker, then there are many parts of his game that needs improving.

We need pool to f**k up. 7 points behind, 5 games to play with CL semis, so there is a lot of scope for them to bust. Add the fact that we have a game against them at SB, the gap can be down to 4 points. Hope bournemouth can do us a miracle.

He's got a lot of improving to do sure, but look at his first 10ish games before he got injured. He was scoring for fun, holding off defenders and showing some wonderful ability.

Exactly this. Morata is not exactly "young". We have had lukaku being ridiculed for better performances at an age of 18. We seriously need to cut our losses with this guy.

Whoever f**ks up, I am down with that !! But something tells me there's a better chance, because of history, that spuds slip points ... Again, pool kinda lost the league like that in 2014 so who knows hahaha!!! Plus I see Roma winning UCL this season, so pool will lose a lot with those semis hopefully ! We need them to lose twice and we need to beat them at SB if we wanna take 4th place !!! We more or less need 2 or 3 miracles ...

Wish I could be proud of the comeback, but I'm even more annoyed at how inept they've been this year.

with th a more serious tone- never thought Fernando Torres would seem somewhat good value, Giroud should start all remaining matches, Hazard is back maybe?? the coaching staff on the bench need Prozac or something 

Hope they’re suitably deflated under Sparkys ineptness to be so nice to us next weekend if more of the AC malaise is on offer.

Trouble is at our club where the entire attacking philosophy since Mourinho 2 has been focused on a 20 goal a season number 9 with our # 10 providing at least another 10 if the #9 tanks and the # 10 goes missing for a long streak the team tanks. In other words no second chances, another more aggressive, meaner and storinger presence is needed up top.

Or we could not repeat the mistake we made with torres. KDB, Lukaku and salah were written off with out a fair chance, Morata has got his fair share of chances and then some. A lot of us wanted giroud to start starting games way before, and I feel we would have been in a better position to pursue top4 if conte had done that. 

27 goals now this season between our strikers ... seeing as we only play with one, that is really not a bad return. If we had one guy who'd played all the time, and he was on 27 goals, we'd probably all think that was decent ...

You actually think that's a valid comparison? Torres was about 28 when we signed him and 50 million then was 100 million today and he was having a very poor season due to his injuries which came quite clear after we signed him. Morata turned 25 in October, just because he's not "young" doesn't mean he's old either, has plenty of time to develop. Morata has also scored 11 goals in the Premier League, Torres had about 1 in his first season and after that, he barely scored any. He finished his Chelsea career with 20 goals... So if you think that's going to be the case with Morata I highly recommend that you never take up scouting in your professional career. 

You constantly berate the board for selling our ex-players then you're calling Conte a bald c**t in match day threads and telling him to sell Morata after one season. It's quite clear what type of fan you are, a reactionary child who throws his toys out the pram.
