We have a great cup final record and anything can happen on the day, but I’m struggling to see how we’ll win this. I’ve never been so uninspired approaching a final.

Before the uddersfield and today’s Newcastle game I was quite confident of a facup final win ,due to the mancs looking way off the mark off late. But afte contes last two starting 11s all that confidence has drained out of me.

now Iam thinking that the only way That there will be blue/white ribbons on facup next week after final whistle,is if the mancs play them sens to lose the final.

thing is JM will want to win the facup far more than what our manager will,  going on the last week or so.

thing is I don’t blame contes mindset tbh as why should he give a fcuk when he has not had full controll on any  new players etc etc

Conte couldn’t have screwed up the end of the season any better. Get on a winning streak and then rotate with two games to go. The man’s a genius.

Utterly hopeless and clueless performance today. Don’t know who was more bewildered: the players or the manager.

A suitable epitaph for Conte’s disastrous second year. A crashing defeat to bookend our entire season.

Good luck to the new boss. Glad Bruce Buck was forced to travel north to watch the whole unedifying spectacle. Hope he learned something more than we need a new manager as soon as possible.

HD as well! You the man.

Seems like his mouth is saying something and his brain is thinking the complete opposite. Doesnt look interested and definitely doesnt look like he wants to be here next season. Even Vialli who is a great friend of his said he was just waiting to be sacked.

Also think he took an indirect hit at the board when he said ‘ I worked with the players I have, etc.’ , which is fair, the board didn’t really seem like they believed in him after winning the league his first season in charge.

If I had to bet on it, I think Allegri will be our next manager (or should i say, ‘first team coach’)

Pedro...fair play. Pm not for me. We are out of the clutches of belgium thank god come next year. We need quality British not the over the hill or injury ridden british we have. Either the Russian puts his money back in  or goes back to his mate Putin.

Our board is clueless, big clearout and purchase the best british we can. When  against the wall britains fight. Not like these overpaid, overpriced foreign mercenerys. Something is very wrong it needs sorting.

Chelsea FC will never die, if we go back to average...fine at least the club will want me back then. We must not go to wembley. Stay at Stamford bridge, it will kill us

Looks like the special ones no 2 will be our new manager.

What's very wrong and needs sorting is your participation in this forum.

Conte is lucky we have the FA cup final or he would have been fired in the tunnel like our last Italian manager, only difference is Conte deserves it..  Its karma for the way he treated Diego who pretty much won him the league last season.

Why because i am British and dont want europe telling me what to do ? As soon as the word foreign is mentioned everyone is a racist, this whole country is going down hill

My mates are black muslim and all nationalitys. I am a working man. I love my country and queen, if that makes me a racist then guess i am....

Nobody actually called you racist by the way, you're being overly defensive with that. You thinking that players won't try as hard because they are foreign is a ridiculous opinion to have though. Our most hardworking player is foreign, and he's probably the most hardworking player in the whole league, he runs his ass off in every game, and that is Kante. Also, if all we need is hard working British players, then explain how City have just dominated the league with a bunch of foreign players and explain how a foreigner just broke the record for most goals in a single Premier League season.

Seeing the reactions of the Swansea players as they’re relegated makes you remember how much worse things can be (and have been in many of our lifetimes).

That was an embarrassing performance though. I’ve always thought the attitude of people in the workplace reflects the attitude of the management, and that applies to football too. Last time we failed to qualify for the CL it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, so I’m feeling a bit conflicted about it at the moment.

This is a valid point. At the end of the day our final position is an accurate reflection of our ability as a team. Failing to quaify for the CL is indeed probably a blessing in disguise. However, i'm already seeing a blase attitude in some quarters that we will turn up, win the mickey mouse Europa cup as a back door entry into the CL. Any team that has suffered the number of poor performances and losses to supposedly inferior teams, struggled to beat most of the teams that have flirted with relegaion from this division, surely cannot expect to beat all of the european second string teams and the CL teams that then drop into this competition as well. My major concern is that this boom or bust, rollercoaster, that we seem to be on will actually end up panning out into a serious decline in this club

It's not the word but the context you use it in. If you think only British players put up a fight you really are stupid.
