Lower table sides will have higher defensive stats because they defend more of the time....

The guy still has 2 goals and 1 assist more though, just saying he came for free...

Jokanovic sacked as Fulham manager and replaced by Ranieri.

No shocks there then that Jokanovic was sacked, maybe not ready for the step up to the Premier League just yet but also don't think the Fulham helped themselves by buying so many new players in the summer.

Ranieri is good appointment though, has experience of taking over clubs and getting the teams playing more cohesively. Also likes to play with the ball on the deck and plays decent football which seems to be something Fulham's board wants too. I would expect upswing in their results now.

I've been waiting for this to happen for a couple of weeks now, their form is shocking. But I suppose the international break is a better time to do it, regarding planning.

Ranieri will keep them up. Like you said, he has experience of improving teams and has loads of prem experience, title winner and all! I wonder if Huddersfield will follow suit and get rid of Wagner...though perhaps not. Fulham spent a bucketload this summer and are expected to stay up, whereas Huddersfield are almost certainly going down

Jokanovic overestimated his own defense and spent a lot of money on the other positions but a team like Fulham can't really hold the ball as good as the mid table teams, as a result they concided a lot of goals from counter attacks.

Pinched from Twitter.

Slavisa Jokanovic's managerial career is extraordinary.

He has:
- Three league titles.
- Two domestic doubles.
- An invincible league season.
- Managed in the Champions League and Europa League.
- Won two promotions.

And yet has only managed 139 top-flight games.

Video assistant referees are set to be used in the Premier League next season, after the clubs agreed in principle to the move.

The Premier League will now make a request to the International Football Association Board and Fifa to use VAR.

It has been carrying out trials, and clubs were given an update at a meeting on Thursday.

VAR was used at the World Cup in Russia this summer and is used in Italy and Germany's top divisions.

Not a huge fan of VAR. The breaks are not nice for football

The Ranieri effect. Truth be told, This team he's inheriting has better players than the one he won the league with at Leicester

Looks like Ranieri is becoming the Italian Allerdyce, although Claudio has actually won something (besides pay-offs).

Lol. Italian Allardyce

becker is so bad with his feet I reckon one of the worst in the league. glad we got Kepa who is so calm and collective on the ball with feet, just perfect for Sarriball.

meanwhile palace could have been 2 up. but manure will win it regardless of course.

City have broken  the League imo......if this was us vs WH they woud have given much more as they did weeks ago. Team have given up before entering the pitch vs city. When you defence alone costs 250M then we should not expect better I guess......at least give it a go ffs. And utd as jammy as ever.....should be 2 Down, Watch them get a soft pen.

What a goal. Some fans are leaving right now. I've been at West Ham for six years but even if I was a fan, I would stay and watch it. It's an absolute joy.
