No on Chelsea Fc. Well over a billion pounds in loans to Ares management, JP Morgan and the back of America. Huge interest rates exceeding 10%. Not their money, our clubs money. If they wanted their money back toot sweet, I'd highly doubt we'd be able to sell the players that this £1 billion was borrowed to buy for anywhere near that number ... f**kers ...
January 9Jan 9 The recent results and general malaise the club has been in since the new owners took over has lead many fans to blame the business model. Its my view that things are worse than that.Clearlake are known for employing an "Operations, People, Strategy framework, partnering with management teams and using operational expertise to drive value in their portfolio companies". But in Chelsea's case they have demonstrated a high degree of incompetance. Its not just the model. The levels of incompetance are astounding. Failure with sponsorship, player purchasing, stadium development and management/coach recruitment. How can they not get a shirt sponsor in the near 4 years they have owned the club? Are the 74 FA charges hindering negotiations? City seem to be managing OK. Surely Clearlake have global contacts that would be interested in a bit more exposure in the UK. The player purchasing debacle started with Sterling, Badiashile and Disasi. All hugely over valued and paid. Then we start buying players with injury records. Lavia was actually injured when we bought him. His investment value blinded them. Fofana had a history of knee problem long before he came to Chelsea. Mudryk could be put down to bad luck but he didn't prove of much value on the pitch. Jackson, Delap, Garnacho and Gittens all have serious question marks about thier footballing ability. I thought stadium development was a proscribed requirement in the purchase of the club yet nothing has happened in 4 years. I don't buy this nonsense that Earls Court has passed us by. Money talks and until there are shovels in the ground that option is very much on the table. Why dont they make it happen? There is huge development potential in that site and Clearlake are an investment company. This particular failure really does point to either a lack of will or incompetance. I'm a fan of over 50 years but if moving to Earls Court means the successful continuation of Chelsea I'd be happy for the club to move there. Finally the changing of manager and coaching staff has just about broken Chelsea as a successful footballing entity. The players haven't had a continual figure in the dressing room in years and the mass changes of squad have all lead to the current unorganised and uncommitted appearance of the team. Incompetance throughout. The irony is that an investment company has lead us all to feel uninvested.

January 9Jan 9 There’s going to be case studies in 10-20 years time on Clearlake dismantling Chelsea Football Club.

Wasnt there an article / feature on him on the club website recently?Could have done worse than put him on LR's team. That experience would have been useful. 17 years in our youth set up has got to be worth having around. Edited January 9Jan 9 by OTL

January 13Jan 13 Couldn't think of anywhere else to post this. I've received an email newsletter from the Chelsea Supporters Trust and in it was the following:"The CST recently received a response from the Chief Executive of the Premier League, Richard Masters, regarding our correspondence relating to reports connecting Todd Boehly and the ticket exchange and resale company, Vivid Seats. We are in the process of setting up a meeting with Mr Masters to discuss the findings of the Premier League’s investigation. We will provide our members with a comprehensive update in due course and appreciate supporters’ patience while we have dealt with this matter. "The CST has contacted Boehly on a number of occasions and asked him about his involvement with Vivid Seats but hasn't had a response. Hopefully now that the PL is involved there will be a response. If I see anything from the CST I'll post on here.

January 13Jan 13 I actually like Simon Jordan and think he calls it as he sees it. As he said, he’s met a lot of football owners who all say they can do all manner of things. I think the fact that he backs Egbad holds some weight.

He hated Abramovich because Abramovich had the means to actually do what he wanted to do at Palace.Jordan will do anything to claim insider knowledge and clout.

Though that doesn't necessarily translate to doing great things for us, but as I've said before - I've liked some things, disliked some things. Keen to see where we land.

January 13Jan 13 Simon Jordan is and always has been an execrable moron with about as much credibility as his namesake Katie Price. And he clearly goes to the same hair replacement specialist as Klopp.
