His modus operandi seems to gut businesses into the ground than plead for help from the taxpayer on the grounds he is 'too big to fail' - the business equivalent of a toddler running crying to their parents I fully expect him to gut United then cry to the Council and government for investment a la Real Madrid selling their training ground. Yeah thats pretty much what hes doing to Utd, firing loads of staff, stopping infrastructure works etc. Pretty disgusting really.

I think our owner's had a good go at gutting the football side of our club though . in fairness they didn't target the minimum wage employee's. . And it always angers me that tax exile billionaires like Sir Jim always focus mostly on the lowest paid when cutting costs.. I prefer our ridiculous owners to that poisonous crank megalomaniac any day of the week. Edited February 14, 20251 yr by The Rising Sun Info

February 14, 20251 yr Not paid any great attention to what Ratcliffe's done at United except the cost cutting but he didn't exactly inherit the reigning Champions of Europe with zero debt. Nothing's been handed on a platter to him while the story was very different with our current owners who was in a better position than anyone could ever ask for when they took over.

Read Ratcliffe even dismissed the EOY bonuses that staff typically relied on. United aren't Sunderland. They generate some of the highest revenue on the planet so petty things like removing seasonal bonsues on staff who make barely £50k a year isn't going to do anything. They've been run to the ground on a sporting level and are still to this day making the same mistakes. Long may it continue.

Total overall debt is now close to a billion with the Glazers still taking out multi-millions in dividends. Ratcliffe's petty nibbling around the edges is the ugly public face. INEOS has its own troubles too. Petro-chemical market is sliding, INEOS are cutting back. They agreed a 6-year deal to sponsor the New Zealand rugby All Blacks for around £3m a year. This year, three years in, they suddenly stopped paying. The NZRU suing them.
February 14, 20251 yr "Better than Ratcliffe and Ineos" doesn't really feel like much to aspire to sadly.
February 14, 20251 yr Another day of the "great business" on show. Still at least they are not Ineos right?

He's sacking hundreds of staff whereas we only sacked sporting directors, medical staff, groundsmen , sacked the replacement sporting director and appointed the co owner as sporting director, hired and fired football coaches, got rid of Academy coach, there's lots more of course.. So, not even close 😂 f**k me 3-0 .

February 14, 20251 yr There is nothing left of the identity of the club. And all it took was 3 seasons. I'm honestly at the point where if we had a break away AFC CHelsea, I'd seriously consider watching them instead.

Chelsea do mean a lot to most of us on here but yeah, could we settle for them getting thrown in jail for life or something?
