Not disputing that he might be better, but we will have to get rid of both Christensen & Zouma. Zouma probably to a Everton, and Christensen to Barca/City.

I just hope we get a LB whatever happens.

He is only 23 mind, but still I just don't think he's elite level, his stats aren't that good either. 

He doesn't have to achieve elite level, were looking for a Pedro replacement, one of four wide options up front, Willian is Franks go to player, with Pulisic and CHO both still developing, do we want an elite player to come in and knock those two youngsters down the pecking order ?

Hmm yeah but Pedro was quite cheap, I doubt Wolves will part with Traore unless it's a staggering fee.

Probably looking at 40m-50m. i dont think we will go for him tbh, but i dont want us to go spending sh*tloads on an 'elite' and feel obliged to play a white elephant like Morata,

Yes absolutely we do. They are both left sided players and neither is world class. We need a world class elite player. Those two can compete for the left spot and rotate in. Willian is gone at the end of the season as well and for all that managers seem to love him, he doesn't win us games.

I would rather we do that, instead of going for lower rate players. I seriously doubt he'll be going for that money when the likes of Zaha are being priced at 60 million, the market has become ridiculously inflated. I say we go all out on the top targets instead of 40 million here and 40 million there.

I would agree normally but seems Ancelotti has somehow unearthed Leighton Baines from somewhere.

The transfer window isn't really open until I see a story linking us with a move for James Rodriguez.

Lewis of Norwich would be a decent option if we are looking for a homegrown left back.

To be fair as Lampard as alluded to, we lack creativity which he has in abundance. Wouldn’t mind him on loan till the end of the season if we can get rid of Barkley as an upgrade on Mount.

So I'm actually not sure I want anyone coming in this transfer window (bar a better option than Michy which I am not sure is available, and maybe coverage in the fullback positions).

This season has been something we've been wanting for over a decade (let the youth get their chances) and so far I like what we have.

Read today that Moyes is considering a move for Barkley and of course the doubts over RLC's recovery, so there might be something in it though for me not a priority.

I'm not sure we'll spend this window.  I think we see what we can do with what we have, obviously with top 4 being a priority.  Then we spend in the summer.  However, that can be risky if we fail to land top 4 then we don't have the pull of CL, and thus pay over the odds for attracting talent.

Inter Milan just agreed a fee with Mancs for Ashley Young so I guess that means no deal with them for either Alonso or Emerson.

Conte really is rather tragic in the transfer market isn't he ? ?

Yup, back in summer Conte signed Godin (33) & Sanchez (30). Now he’s after Giroud (33) & Young (34). Think he likes his men older.

Not to mention Radja Naingolan, a player he was furious we didn't get for him, he inherited two years later and decided he wasn't good enough after all.

And to think some fans like @brakeit genuinely wanted him to be given a blank cheque, would have seen us away from the elite for years and years and years.

Who is in charge of our transfers. We need to make a quality signing to help out this young team. Its ridiculous having fought so hard to overturn the ban and no signs of any players coming in. Sad really.

Well Piatek is available for less then 30 million and he still 24yrs old and has plenty of experience in Seria A, someone that we were linked with before, had a great scoring record before the managerial mess at Ac Milan. He would be a great replacement of Michy which in my opinion offers absolutely nothing, we might aswell play youngster instead of him. Than there is Timo Werner we have being linked with him for ages, only 23, can play across the front three and score for fun. Federico Chiesa of Fiorentina is a beast too. Kai Havertz of Bayern Leverkusen is one for the future but one of the brightest german talents. Moussa Dembele, although not a big fan he could be helpful too against stubborn defences. Now surely we can get at least one of them.
