The weak point for mancs utd going on their last 3 or 4 games ,is that they have always seem to be slow starters in the first 30 mins or so . Frank’s team tactics for 1st 30mins in SF at wembley > after climbing out of the trench FIX bayonets and CHARGE 

Well I did say in first 30 mins the mancs are lacking and at their weakest in recent games , 45 min Rashford makes it 0-1

Going on recent games played ,the best time to beat msn utd is in the first 30 - 40 mins of a game ,they seem to be slow starters then Get a goal just before the break 

As i type they have gone 0-2 up at Palace with 15 mins left 

Palace had plenty of chances to score. Also incorrectly disallowed goal and 100% penalty not given. Hopefully we take our chances.

Logic dictates we should prioritise a top 4 place and qualify for the CL.

But history does not look kindly on teams who don’t win trophies.

Just look at Spurs and Arsenal preoccupied with qualifying for the CL yet have not one anything for ages.

Winning the FA cup in Frank’s first year as Chelsea manager would be an uplifting achievement.

I feel it is reasonable for this team to aspire to achieve top 4 and win the FA cup.

Our record against United has been poor recently so it’s about time we turned them over.

Frank’s uses a rotation system so regardless of his priorities the team on Sunday will look different anyway. So just hope he takes it more seriously than he did when we played them  in the League cup earlier on in the season.

 

Have the feeling both teams will rest players for this game, it's about time we beat them, don't think we ever lost to another team 4 times in a single season. Having said that, the CL spot is probably more important right now ( as much as I hate to say that). I expect to be a cagey game, with big players coming off the bench to decide the game in the last 10-15.

Ole will rotate, but don't expect a Liverpool-esque B team from United because one - we dont have a B team and two - Ole wants to win silverware more than he wants to qualify for top four. We're not Arsenal, after all. I think at least 5 players from today's lineup will feature, we'll be counting on the extra subs to keep them fresh. This is the most rotated side you will see in all probability, chances are Martial and AWB might also feature to trouble your unsettled defence and to try and keep Pulisic quiet.

You have 2 days extra rest, and you are traditionally quicker off the mark in the first half an hour while United tend to grow into the game much slower. Get an early goal or two, and Ole will have an eye on the West Ham game and not risk players getting tired further chasing the ball late in the second half. But on the other hand, if our defence do their bit in the first 30-odd minutes and we somehow nab the first goal - I'd consider us favourites with pace and trickery on the counter and your susceptibility to in-form forwards running 1v1 at your defenders. With Pogba, Bruno and Matic, I'd be a bit more concerned against Chelsea because Pogba gets isolated in the middle of the park, but we might hold our own in the middle if both Fred and McT start. 

Greenwood has been really good in the cup games so far, btw, so I hope you mess up closing passing lines to him or marking him around the box. He hasn't scored in over 3 hours now, and looks hungry.

I personally would play Barkley, Mount and Kovacic against United.

RLC still doesn't seem to have his rhythm and I think he needs a full pre season to be at his best again.

I’d go with that too.

What United is doing is they stay compact in the back. Break from the middle and what gives them wins is their front 3 just score at will. You don't need a foolproof or intelligent system if your attackers score every opportunity. 

We approach the game the in the philosophy of 'create enough chances and you score a couple'. If our front and mf players just score more from the situations we create we'd be very close to the top. 

This is why we are buying Ziyech, Werner and possibly Havertz. To make goals, not just chances. 

Anyway I feel we can win this. Pulisic brace and a Zouma header to give us 3-2 win.

Given your current form and our current form, 2 days extra rest does jack squat for us given our injuries.  This is ManUtd's to lose given the overall squad strength and how VAR really loves Man Utd. However I do hope the Chelsea B team can have a real go and surprise us fans. Come on Pedro, you owe us a farewell gift.

I know you can point out we managed to mostly shut City down. Yes with them playing no striker and Sterling missing a key chance. That was a big slice of luck.

Liverpool are not missing their front 3, they will be rested and rip our defense to shreds. Our chances are not much better against United but liverpool are a few steps better than them.

No idea who we should pick for the game, any of our defensive options are woeful. Maybe we should go 3 -5 - 1 - 1
