We're playing with 3 CBs, just like under Tuchel. Call it a back 5 or a 3-4-3 or 3-4-2-1 I don't care, I posted pics that clearly show Disasi, T.Silva and Colwill being those 3 CBs.

Google says so too:

The fact that the players rotate during the match when we don't have possession or during certain situations well, that alone doesn't change this fact. Chilwell playing as a winger or full-back makes little to no difference in what I'm saying, he's just pushing forward just like Gusto.

Colwill, Silva, Disasi prior to the N.Forest goal, in front of them, Caicedo. Where do you see here a 4-3-3 when it's clear that Disasi isn't a RB nor Colwill a LB. Otherwise if any of them were playing that, it would leave T.Silva as the lone CB which simply isn't the case.

I really do get bored explaining why you're wrong so often and the information not sinking in.

TBF should we really expect a full back to look good playing on the wing?

Its a really bizarre move by Poch.

very bizarre, especially considering how we were setup in preseason

This is the thing I dont understand, if he had gone with this formation and personnel at least once in the preseason games then fair enough, it was a plan and he is sticking to it. But how we have played since the start of the season is totally different, positionally, strategy and player picks. I know preseason is often a fitness thing for games, get match sharp but as a new man in you would expect him to use the time to instill his "footballing philosophy" (I hate that term). It just makes no sense.

The only thing I can think is he had the whole gameplan revolving around Nkunku, he loses him and reverts back to what the players know from the last 2 seasons, mainly.

I feel like a school girl thats been completely hoodwinked. Blimey, can't believe I fell for the preseason hype when we were actually playing really fluid nice football in a 4231 and we didnt even have some of our key signings yet.

Also seems hard to believe that we were planning on relying on Nkunku THAT much to the point where he is injured at the system has completely changed from formation to personnel. Just have to hope some of our injuries come back like Badiashille who can hopefully see us go back to a back 4 with a Colwill-Badi partnership and Maatsen at LB

  • 2 weeks later...

Has there been any confirmation of the nature of the injury yet? I know it was suspected hamstring but could be anything from strained to torn.

Does it really matter what it is when these guys can not stay fit for a month?

Yes, obviously it matters. He could be out for a couple days or a couple months.

Our injuries are never a couple days, like the optimism though.

I would say it is unlikely to be days. But hoping for no more than a few weeks rather than a few months.

Death taxes and Chelsea players getting injured!!

How many games have Chilly and James start together? And how many games have we played during their time as first team players?

I bet that stat is shocking.

Again this is why we have 3LB, we probably need another RB too.
