April 11, 20233 yr Just reading this first page back and I'm stunned by how many people said (paraphrasing) we didn't need him because we had Emerson. What on this earth did people see in that guy that i missed?

April 12, 20233 yr Definitely one of our best player, everytime he had a medium-long term injury our results go down with it. If he stays fit and start over 80% of the games next season, we will do a lot better.
April 12, 20233 yr The only downside so far is that he hasn't been able to play enough games. He's only featured in 80 out of our 160 fixtures since he's been here. Certainly been a lot better quality-wise than I thought he was going to be.

April 12, 20233 yr Can't blame him for the red. A useless donkey with bushy hair was the reason for it.
April 13, 20233 yr Can't shoulder any blame last night, did what he thought was right in the split second. Only one that had the pace to catch Rodrygo after Cucurella lost his man so easily.
April 13, 20233 yr Does this mean whenever we somehow get back in the CL he will have a 2 game ban still?
April 13, 20233 yr I dont think it was a mistake personally. I genuinely dont think we can come back from 2v0, and at the time of the red, it was still 1v0. So it was a case of taking the red but keeping the score at 1v0, with a fighting chance of a defensive rear guard to protect the 1v0. Or let the attacker go, knowing he was very likely to have scored, and have the tie over (as I say, I dont see any chance in getting back from 2 down). So - of course marginal, and its all ifs and buts, however I think he made a justified decision. That said - I think he was sh*t the rest of the game

If anything its Cucarella who should be apologising to him,

May 26, 20233 yr Unpopular question, with the season Ian Maatsen has had, with Lewis Halls emergence, Levi Colwills ability to play LB as needed and Cucurella being unshiftable, should we cash in on Cities interest in Ben? With City interested I would imagine we could get 50-60mill. Ben's Book value is 20mill, and we need Sales for FFP. Ben has a terrible injury record. Am just wondering if the option should be considered as James has popped up in discussions because of his injury issues, but not Ben.

Internal discussions are probably Hall on loan and Maatsen the one sold given he’ll bring in 100% profit.

You loan out Hall, and you risk him going the path of Guehi & Colwill. He has a contract expiring in 2025, so once he goes out on loan next year and experiences regular football the chances of retaining him becomes very low.
July 20, 20232 yr Weird thing I've noticed that Chilwell is getting stick online. Is this just because he's English? Have I missed something? He's one of our best players.

He's got a point, that's why he was never moved into the back three at any point by either Tuchel or Potter like James, Azpi and Cucurella were. His strengths in possesion lie in the other two thirds of the pitch, and I felt he did well as the inverted fullback in his appearance yesterday, that tactic got the absolute best of him and James in the Autumn of 2021 before their injuries hit so hopefully we see more of that going forward.

Would work best with Mudryk too so they wouldn’t occupy the same space.

Was massively missed when injured, is comfortably one of our best players, would be moronic to sell hm yet hes just another target of the imbeciles on social media for some reason.
