I imagine he'll stay at Burnley on loan next season, so that will be good chance for some PL experience. When he does come back to us, perhaps he can bring Kompany with him LOL Probably an upgrade on Koulibaly still.

You could well be right if this is the scenario. His route to the first team is essentially blocked by Chilly and Cucurella as it stands ... plus any profit from his sale is 100% booked against FFP. I can see that being a huge factor in deciding who is moved on, given the likely £70m+ hole in the accounts from not being in Europe.
March 1, 20233 yr Haven't we already persuade the likes of Broja, Chalobah, and now Colwill in extending? Seems we do have a path for them if they have the quality. I can see us extending Maatsen's contract and leaving him at Burnley for another season.

March 4, 20233 yr Probably my worst predication of all (I didn't think he'd even be an upgrade on Alonso).
March 4, 20233 yr we miss him a lot last season and even this season fingers crossed to stay fit chilwell!

March 5, 20233 yr One of the players rumoured to be told by Todd to sign up to a new, long term deal or be sold.

My main concerns were his lack of aggression in attacking situations and his tendency to spectacularly lose his head when his form dipped, both seem well and truly fixed.

One of the rare occasions you called it wrong Argo? Or still unsure on him?

I didn't like him at Leicester. He was great at times going forward, but was so physically weak defensively and lazy at times. I also thought he believed in his own hype towards the end of his final season with them and let his performances slide. When he came to us, and especially under Tuchel, I thought both parts of his game improved massively and now we see the Chilwell we see today.
March 7, 20233 yr Chilwell and Silva are the only players in the entire squad that perform at their best week in week out. The others need to raise their level to the same standards. Havertz can't be at his best for 10% of the season, it's not good enough. Mount at 50%, it's not enough. Even James at 70%. They all need to be hitting their best levels for 90% of the season, that is what it will take if they want to be amongst the best season after the season.

I think with everything that’s going on at the moment combined with manager has affected Mount, because he’s given us his best until takeover happened. I’m still disappointed though, I really thought he would perform regardless of what’s happening. I look back to the days of Frank, Terry, Drogba; they performed no matter who’s the manager, Silva was the only one of that ilk, I think we can safely say Chilwell is too. Big question mark on James, he’s been disappointing this season but he’s had injuries
