Leeds get the draw against City that they deserved against Liverpool. I've been very impressed by Leeds so far, might be controversial to say it but they look a more complete side than Chelsea right now.

Well lets just say that they have a manager that has a little  more experience than Lampard 😉

Bielsa is absolutely fantastic. What a credit to the league - he is absolutely fearless as a manager.

It is great to see a manager go out and press Liverpool and Man City high up the pitch and have a go at them. It makes it more annoying that we completely parked the bus v Liverpool at home and Leeds went to Anfield and had a go.

Must be great to watch every week.

Didn't see it all but from what I did watch, the Leeds v City game was a real thriller. Could have gone either way and I was sure City would nick a late winner but they just aren't clinical enough with no Aguerro or Jesus. In fact it was Bamford who nearly handed City the point with a bizarre diving header towards his own goal!

A bit of a desperation signing that. Old and out of form, even on a free transfer it's an enormous gamble for someone you won't get many seasons out of.

What with signing Sancho and Ibrahimovich it reminds me of us in 91 and 92 signing Clive Allen and Mick Harford.

TBF Ibrah, did ok yet for us it was the money back in the 90s suggests Utd are feeling the pinch too.

Cavani's best days are well behind him, I wouldn't even fancy that signing.

Specially not being in your position, in the Chelsea positon. We have T.Silva that knows Cavani very well, it's more probable that T.Silva counters Cavani's efforts than vice versa, so it can be an automatic advantage for us the next time we play them, that is if Cavani gets to play at all.

Their own fans are probably not even sure what to think, if they really wanted Cavani they didn't need to wait all this time to get him.

United signing Cavani has a 'last lap of the nightclub before the lights come on' feel to it. I guess for a free there's not much to lose (aside from presumably a hefty wage?), but it feels like another Falcao situation to me. Certainly the exact opposite of signing Sancho.

Caught up on some of the other matches and City's keeper looked shaky on the corners, might be interesting next time we play them. Sterling took his goal well, you just hope CHO is watching Sterling cuts inside and has to go past two before the space opens up for the strike.

Nick Pope had a nightmare at Newcastle yesterday, I recall some a while back saying we should consider him as a replacement for Kepa.

maybe it was a blessing we got mendy instead of him?

Yeah, who on earth wanted Pope ahead of Mendy..................................?!

Cavani on £400k a week apparently

Surely that can't be true?

If it is, how much of that would United have to pay?

They’ve signed him on a free transfer so all of the £400k. Smells of another Sanchez deal to me.

Oh, thought they were getting him on loan.

Either way - smacks of desperation and he's not worth a fraction of £400k a week, free transfer or not.

Things like this so bring home the ridiculous situation of modern football. Many Clubs outside the PL, struggling and battling to exist, whilst a PL club can pay £400k a week to a has-been like Cavani. The sheer imbalance in our game from top downwards is staggering.
