Ozil could be left out of Arsenal's 25 man Premier League squad.

I can think of harder ways to earn £350,000 a week.

He's a pro Fortnite player now, not a footballer...

I've always liked Ozil and I understand that Arteta and the previous Manager have not fancied him mainly because he doesnt have the attributes to play in Central midfield and lacks the pace and work ethic to play on the wing. He is a specialist Number 10 and with the switch over the last 5 years to play with a front and midfield 3 it has become difficult to accommodate him into a team however he would still be invaluable to have come off the bench to provide some creativity against stubborn defenses.

I don't really buy the notion he is a difficult individual to work with, if he was they wouldn't have offered him a new contract and nothing on the pitch has indicated he is a hindrance. He has voiced his opinion on certain matters from time to time and I've seen him appear frustrated when taken off but the way he is being portrayed in the media due to the salary he is being payed is ludicrous.

Which Chelsea rival had the best transfer in this window in your opinion ?

Spurs probably, they signed players for all the areas they most needed.

Partey looks a decent signing for Arsenal but outside of him I don't think any of their signings improve on what they already had.

Man City made their obligatory defensive signings but I think it's strange they bought two centre backs when they already had decent options there, I could see Ake ending up as left back for them. Torres seems a decent enough signing but again, is he any better than what they already had?

Liverpool signed Jota and he's only going to act as a quite expensive back up to Mane and Salah. Thiago is a good signing, no question, let's wait and see if he can adapt to the Premier Legaue. Liverpool look a bit overstocked in midfield now, will be interesting to see who ends up missing out.

Manchester United arguably had the worst window. van De Beek is a good player but remains to be seen how he slots into the midfield alongside Pogba and Fernades, I could be wrong but it just seems like 3 players who all want to do similar things in midfield leaving Matic still as their best holding midfielder.

Man City signed defenders and a good young prospect, they just need Aguero to come back and they will be a scary team once again. Ruben Dias was talked about in the forum as a potential new signing for us... But then again so was Reguilon so for me it's 50-50 between Man City and Spurs, and none of them had a better transfer window than us.

Spuds or Everton (though we have never really considered them rivals)

This season's Everton seem to be a different gravy.

The rest is just average. Liverpool only has brought in Thiago who can make an instant impact, the rest is just average.

City bought couple of young defenders that would need time to be bedded in Pep's tactics.

The rest has decent signings, nothing to write home about.

The worst is United. They needed a DM, 2 CBs or 1 CB and keep Smalling, a LB and a RW. What they got were an AM that they can't fit in, a LB from Porto who will need an adjustment period, a young prospect of a RW that comes in January and a has-been CF who used to be brilliant but now is injury prone and haven't played in months.

With the exception of Spurs, Everton have not faced a top side.

It will be interesting to see how they fare against Liverpool after the break.

Everton are trying to get their song spirit of the blue into the top 40 after reaching number one on the iTunes chart can we try to beat them by getting this higher in the charts....

Premier League reform proposals: Liverpool & Man Utd lead plans for shake-up - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54499998

Liverpool & Man Utd, making the first move toward a super league by the looks of it. Some very bad things in the proposal, with some gifts to sweeten it.  Liverpool & Man Utd fans may be rivals but the American owners clearly get along well.

What a shambles of a club 😅

Wolves will be sweating on the next round of Covid tests after CR7's infection, with a significant chunk of their players in the Portugal squad Conor Cody and Raul Jimenez may have to take Leeds on by themselves.

Couldn't think of anywhere else to post this. Had to go over to Charlton's ground earlier to drop off some stuff. First time I've been in a football ground since Chelsea's last home game with crowds. Not Stamford Bridge or even Ibrox but good to be in a ground even though it was only for a few minutes.

Doesn't seem very smart to have the Merseyside derby and the Old Firm televised at the same time. Odd from Sky.

Agree. Could easily be shown on different days. I wonder which one I'll watch!

Liverpool unlucky there - if van Dijk was offside it was by a Rizla paper. Would Pickford have been sent off as well as conceding the penalty? I don't pretend to understand the rules any more...

Normal service resumed then?
