Seeing lots of 4th etc place finishes. Not sure you guys realise how good the players you've signed are, honestly. I can see you getting second with a challenge for the league as long as the signings gel quickly.

Afraid I’m predicting a fourth place finish, but third would be no surprise. As essential as it is, there is still more to improving than simply buying young attacking talent. Time is one of those other things.

And I also think that this feckin virus will play a role in the season again and for me I fully expect another season that will carry an asterisk regardless of where we finish and whoever wins it.

Optimistically I would say 2nd.  However anything lower than 4th is a complete disaster considering all the spending.

If everyone is fit Chelsea could boast possibly the best attack in the PL.  But even with everyone fit the defense and keeping situation are going to be weaknesses.

I've gone for 2nd

We have a pretty big squad and that will help this season with it being more condensed we have a lot of options  . A couple of injury's to key players could decide  it for Dippers and Mancs

Brand new spanking ground, Jose Mourinho for manager, and poor old spuds dont even get a mention for top 4.

I reckon they will do better than Utd this year Jose is a second season man, the only time he didn’t win a league in the second season was UTD and he was still second

If this team doesn’t challenge then we have done something very wrong, for me that’s a  better team that Liverpool excluding VVD Alison and the fullbacks, who in that Liverpool team would you replace any of those players with, for me no one even mani would rotate

voted 2nd.. but we got to finish 3rd at the worse any lower then that after the transfer window is a bust.. next season is where we really need to push for  the title.

Would NOT want to be in the back against this side. Chillwell plays a major role this year I think.  He and Pulisic- lot of skill between them.Havertz and Werner running through the middle. Ziyech is very clever. So much potential

Matches are not played on paper. Many are underestimating the massive amount of work required to integrate 6 or 7 new players into the squad and get them playing well as a unit. It'll be especially challenging for Frank as a relatively new manager.

For me this is a another building year. If we finish third and make it out of the group stages I'd say Frank will have done well.

Key thing that needs to happen is improvement in defence. If we concede closer to 30 goals this season that will put us in good stead. If we are still conceding close to 50 after binning Kepa and signing Thiago Silva Frank is going to be under big pressure.

The way I see it the football Frank is playing is very demanding to players. If you don't execute it perfectly goals will be shipped in. We have bought serious quality but again there half of the starting lineup is made of new players. Most of them are new to the league. If we manage to win the league our main rivals have failed and we have all the luck in the world.

City has something to prove and everyone will be gunning for Liverpool who are one or two major injury away from a disaster. Their squad is not that deep.

I agree with that about the paper part and a building year, but even so in his second year with a great squad, personally I said we would get second and for me that’s a good year in Consideration of the points you made.

However challenging for the title to me means being up and about there giving a push to the top teams doesn’t mean you take it right to the wire just that you’re in the running for a good part of the season, and to me we should be able to do that even if we finish second or third and I don’t think frank himself would be happy unless we did that.

I've voted first. I always like going into a new season with confidence and belief of the players and manager.

Mountain to climb to overcome Liverpool and City but our attack (on paper) looks blinding this year.

Swap Rice with Kovacic and talented-wise this should compete with our 2010 champions team for the best Chelsea team ever.

Also if we are talking about raw talent, Reece should replace Dave and let's hope he develops properly.

It really is some team on paper could use a prime wc CB and keeper and it’s up there.

I was looking at the youth squad from 2010 only 1 player is still at a decent level Nathan Chaloba the rest to obscurity, what a difference in 10 years

That sorry excuse of a ref is back officiating in the epl.. So no repercussions for these refs .. best job in the world no linkage of your future to your performance.

If we bought Thiago, Lewandowski, Bale and prime Ozil we should be considered a title contender. We bought very young lads. Why you buy these young lads is because you look to win titles in the future. No matter what any pundit say, listen to Frank. We are looking to challenge the top in next season or the season after that.

New guys settle in, we close the gap and fix the glaring errors. It is a gradual process.
