October 3, 20205 yr Reading the comments I forgot about Pulisic, instead of Giroud we could try Pulisic and move Werner to CF.

October 3, 20205 yr Abraham can't head the ball, despite regularly outjumping defenders, Odoi lacks sharpness in control, runs, passes.... There is no threat from our attack and it's making it easy for Palace.

The one decent chance we did get for Werner should at the very least have forced the keeper to make a save. Put Hazard or Pulisic in that position and they probably score. The lack of ruthlessness from us usually results in a mistake from the defence that leads to a goal, so I wouldn't be shocked if that happened again today. Agreed. We are very forgiving and show no aggression whatsoever. A team of nice chaps, real gentlemen who mind their manners on the football pitch. Lost the ball? Oh, well, better luck next time. Success is 90% hard work and 10% talent.

As the resident happy clapper, do you genuinely believe shoving Werner out wide and Tammy up top is a better option than Werner up top with amount out of position? Remove cheerleading antics and answer honestly.

Palace sit deep, hold their shape and defend in numbers in front of their own box. They do not press the midfield. Therefore Jorginho is not being closed early, harried and bullied. Hence, he has time and space and is having a good game. They are pressing us, but we are dealing with it really well.

It's why I wanted James at the base of midfield for this game - Jorginho doesn't do enough in possession to make things happen in the final third.
October 3, 20205 yr 73% possession 1 shot at target unable to counter uncle Roy’s tactics always vulnerable at 0 0 need to speed things up here we go then
October 3, 20205 yr That wasn’t the most exciting of halves but there were a number of positives. Silva and Chilwell are looking like good additions and just what we need at the back. Havertz has also showed his class at times, and the midfield in general is looking fairly decent. Crystal Palace are set up primarily to frustrate us in the final third and have done a great job at it so far.

Yes, James that is currently one of the best RBs in the whole league should change his natural position only because you personally don't rate Jorginho

He played on the right decision which isn't that bad. You will see him beating players once we will score that goal, we need confidence as a team and each player will put more from him. When the game 0-0 every mistake can cost us, every mistake. We can’t penetrate them because they are bunched in the middle. CHO as a winger it’s his role in the team to stretch them and take his man on, give us width. Hes been absolutely woeful at it, since he came back not just this game. He’s just done it again in second half as I type this.
October 3, 20205 yr Apologies Scott Harris. I didn’t see the ‘Harris’ and assumed it was the other guy ‘Scott’ who commented. The original happy clapper.

He also has previous experience of playing in midfield. I'm also not really sure what is so unreasonable about not wanting a player I don't rate to start... I especially don't think you of all people are in any position to call out others for having an agenda when it comes to Jorginho.
