Mark Noble is in there to man mark Jorginho. So Jorginho is dropping into the defence to avoid him... Which just means there's no out ball on unless Mount or Kante drop deep. But then they just pass backwards because there's no forward pass on.

Midfield just looks awful and unbalanced.

We're losing the battles in midfield. Mount hasn't been really in the game, Jorginho seems intent on giving the ball away in dangerous areas and Kante is all over the place. Looks totally unbalanced. Up top again Tammy doesn't make the right runs and Werner's finishing has deserted him though maybe Pulisic held onto the ball a fraction too late. Add to this we don't now look good at full backs, unlucky with Chilwells injury. We need to seriously step it up second half.

I don't think it has been that bad all told. Especially given the injuries. 

Decent side the pikeys at the moment. Very physical with a good spirit and belief. They have 5 across the middle at times so would like to see us play the ball over the top early in those circumstances. Werner needs a goal for his confidence but looks like he is trying his heart out to me. Tammy needs to toughen up, Pulisic needs to prove he can last 90 minutes.

Frank seems to be sticking firmly on 4-3-3. Not sure if that is a smart move. Not just this game. 

Just thinking about our German boys both playing out of position for the whole season.

I think someone mentioned it before but we’re such an odd side with a strange make up. We have players who are almost uncomfortable on the ball and prefer to play on the break yet we keep possession to the nth degree, partly down to the opposition wanting us to do they can challenge us further up the pitch and not let us use the pace. We do need to be slicker and more cutting in possession but am unsure as to whether we have the players to do this. Havertz should be a key player in this regard but he hasn’t had an impact - no one can be surprised that he’s been benched.

I’d have thought the original intention would be more of a 4-2-3-1 with Havertz playing just behind Werner. I did wonder, as someone suggested on here, whether to switch to wing backs but not with Dave there.

There was one for Timo right down the middle but looks like he backed out to avoid a colision

I feel the message by Frank is just something sort of reassurance and reminding of doing things. He will probably never pump the side or yell at them. Not his style.
