According to co-commentator Osgoods nickname was 'The kite' because he used to hang in the air.  I've been following Chelsea for 50 odd years and have never heard Ossie called that, has anyone ?

I heard him say that and though, f**k, I can't be a proper Chelsea fan 'cos I've never known Ossie was referred to as The Kite!!

Between Emerson and Chillwell I would think Ben is the better defender. That's why it surprises me they don't swap roles, surely we want Emerson further fwd since we bought him to be more of a wing back than Ben. Emerson's finish against Athletico has been better than most shots I've seen from Ben this season.

Just been racking me head for any chelseA/ sheff utd or vice versa player or manager connections over the years .

1. did ian porterfield play at sheff U

2 . Nidge spackman did he end up playing there aswell ?

3. vinny Jones

4  William fatty Foulke

5 anymore anyone ?

Birchenall

Sheff Utd playing the spoiling game. Very difficult to do much against it when a team plays like that but as their energy drains and we throw on some fresh legs can see us scoring a couple more second half and make this comfortable.

Pulisic is a shadow of the player he was last season,it can't all be because of injury's.

It is indirectly  because of the injury .. He is scared to run at 100 percent because he doesn't want to tear the hamstring. I don't think we will see that explosive pulisic until next season

Unpopular opinion but I'd like to see CHO go on loan like my boy Ruben for a season or two. He needs to get used to playing regularly in the prem in a team that doesn't rely on him consistently for end product. Albeit he has played well under TT I'm still yet to see any real end product.

Thats the sole reason i can only grasp at to explain Mr Americas lack of Cpt America showing after his injury .

Flat 45 could be too many changes and tbh it’s detracted from the performance. Been disjointed the attackers look clueless lucky bc this lot are pants and quite arrogantly may I suggest are there for the taking in the 2nd half IF.....

If we had other wide players who were on fire maybe, but we can't rely on Pulicic and Ziyech.

Assuming we can get another goal consolidating our position and win out. I think if we avoid city in the draw I'm fairly confident we would go to the final. A Man city vs Man u semi could be very interesting assuming they do beat Leicester (I'll be cheering for Leicester in thag one).

Well... not a lot has really happened, has it? I suppose that's somewhat positive when you're 1-0 up, less positive when you've had the vast majority of possession.

One thing we can be pleased about is just how positive and inventive Gilmour is in possession. If he can perfect his execution (particularly the weighting of the passes) he is going to be a serious player for us. He's also far more mobile and energetic than... erm... certain alternative players in his position.

I don't think there's too much reason to despair. For a start we're [deservedly] winning, and Sheffield United have to come out and attack us in the second half, which should offer us more space and theoretically more opportunities.

You never know - we might actually see a booking in the second half!
