That's why you'll never run a business or have any position of responsibility in your life.

Your spite only harms yourself and in this case the club.

I currently have a job with a position of responsibility in regards to finances. Let me know what job you go for when you leave school, I’ll give you a hand with your homework x

Interesting little soundbite from the latest LiB podcast. Sounds like he would have stayed if Boehly & co didn't come in.

Refreshing that the manager was able to make one of these major decisions for once.

Inter are closing on Romelu Lukaku deal with Chelsea. €8m loan fee plus add ons proposal set to be accepted, final details are being discussed right now. Deal almost done. 🚨🔵 #CFC

Paperworks are being prepared with NO buy obligation or option clause. #Inter

From 97.5mill signing, to not even 8mill loan fee. Great business.

When the deal is done, we'll pretend he was never at our club, not now and not 10 years ago. Delete this threat and deny all knowledge of Belgian strikers.

Oh poor Bats 🤔

Boehly doing the right thing here. Obviously not a great deal for us from a financial perspective but our last administration would have made sure Lukaku stayed despite the managers wishes and it would likely have led to Tuchel's sacking in the end I believe. Now we've rid ourselves of our biggest disrupter and can look ahead from here.

But he will be back in 12 months time? We are aren't getting rid of the problem, just delaying the inevitable of it coming back.

He's basically herpes.

Some assurance from Simon Phillips.

Inter wanted a 2-year loan deal for Lukaku but those deals aren’t allowed anymore. So another year loan deal at the end of this one is likely, and that should then include a cheaper obligation/option to buy. There’s no way Lukaku will contemplate coming back to Chelsea.

We'll confuse him

Done deal.

Can someone change the thread title to “Romelu Lukaku back to where he f**king belongs” and move it to “Following our Exes” so I never have to see it again.

Hopefully this means we can finally crack on making some signings!

Hold on but he signed the player? Lukaku also alluded to speaking about him about the system & style of play and how he fits into it in that interview.
Do we sell every player the manager doesn’t want just to keep him in his job despite the implications on our finances? We are taking a £23m hit on our books every year with only £8m of that loan fee getting written off.

Ironically, I guarantee he will end up being top scorer in Italy next season. Shows the difference between the two leagues tbh. Dybala. Lautaro and Lukaku up front will bang goals there for sure.

It proves even more than Tuchel never wanted Lukaku but didn't want to ruffle too many feathers in a new job and having the reputation of being difficult at PSG. By all accounts Haaland was his 1st choice. He didn't want to come but Cech/Marina should have stayed away from Lukaku. Cech even recently said that he hopes Lukaku does well as he was one of the people who pushed for him.

Seems like Todd has given complete control to Tuchel for this window which I am fully onboard with. By next window we should have a DOF who can carry the vision forward.
