Go back to whoscored.com and look at the dribbled past stat current season for the other player in our pivot today....... 2.3 times per game after three games! Same as Gallagher, but Conner isn't the deep sitting defensive midfielder is he?

Improve on it?  Damn, Kante is truly underrated

To "match" Kante, Gallagher need to learn to play as pivot first. He need to learn to receive the ball from cb deep in your own half. Distribute, progress and do dm job. Then he can do Gallagher stuff up high. Defensively, you need to help your team to press opp cm like what Kante did with bentacur or even cb and you also need to run back to cover your CB.

Gallagher isn't a defensive midfielder to begin with. 8 PL goals last season at 21 years old for Palace. Not comparable.

It is not important whether he is a dm or even a gk by trait. He is playing as dm in this team so he need to do dm duty.

Havertz hasn't played as a striker for a long time now, you're mixing him up with Sterling, the only thing he does that a striker does is to try and win a header at some situations since he's the only tall player we got there and that's it.

I think TT is getting it all wrong trying to play Sterling up top. 

In my mind, the only two options we have for that are Havertz or Broja. Sterling should be on the left, where he can run onto a ball over the top or cut inside to shot with his right.

If you want to get both Mount and Gallagher in the same team, it has to be a 4-3-3 for me, but a new DM to play behind them is needed for sure. Mount is not a right winger - you can't play him there. CHO or Ziyech should be playing on the right.

I know but he was putting Sterling in the middle up top during pre-season so...

Difference is one is good on the ball, good in tight spaces, good wehn being pressed and facing his own goal.

Gallagher is none of them.

Just another player crowbarred in to Tuchels system taking away his best attributes in a game, will have a few games like this, drift to the subs bench then end up leaving unless this system and formation changes.

He can never do anything right in your view can he?

First it's he doesn't play the youngsters. Then he does play them and it's "oh he was in the wrong position" and the player himself is excused for an absolute horror-show in midfield. He may not be a six but you should still be able to control a football and hit a pass if you want to have a future here.

So far he's not only struggled to do that vs Leeds. They were tough yesterday and he could be excused for that. It's perhaps more problematic that he looked similar in pre-season against poor opponents.

Watched him every game since he joined us. The only problem i have with Jorginho is his speed and lack of physicality. You take Jorginho out this team we would struggle to play out. Our best football in the last few years is when Jorginho and Kovacic play in the pivot.

Jorginho is every bit as good as Rodri on the ball.

He really isn't. Look at him the FA Cup final VS Liverpool. He was excellent and Liverpool press very well.

Jaysus, OJ Simpson reacted in a more controlled manner when put under pressure than Jorginho does.
