Some players get written off too early.

Possibly, but not in those two cases.

McEachran spent his career in the Championship and League One after leaving us, suggesting it was absolutely the right decision. Mancienne did a little better, but was still mainly in the lower reaches of the Bundesliga with Hamburg, followed by a few seasons in the Championship with Nottingham Forest and then a stint in MLS. At the point he left, his competition at Chelsea was Terry, Cahill, Luiz and Ivanovic. He was never going to start ahead of that quartet in a 4-3-3 requiring only two centre back starters ...

I was actually joking that there was still time for those two great hopes to come good. You are correct about both of them, of course. I never saw Mancienne making it with us, but I was a massive fan of Josh Mac. He never seemed to take his loans seriously, maybe believing the clubs we sent him to were beneath him, and as a consequence he frittered away what could have been a great career. Not necessarily with us, as he was probably not physically equipped to play in our first team, but he could have done so much more with his obvious talent.

After doing his cruciate ligaments while at Birmingham, he's now 29 and in his third season at MK Dons.

His younger brother George doesn't seem to have a club at the moment.

Timing has a lot to do when it comes to young players. Someone like McEachran was probably not protected enough by the club and his seniors... or he just wasn't cut to be a professional footballer at this level.

At that age you could go to the path of Messi or the path of Gael Kakuta because of small incidents. It is life and it is only football.

Didn't Josh McEachran go off the rails when he started shagging some Z-List celebrity ? Hollyoaks ? Corrie ? Something like that.

One thing Josh and Mancienne have in common is that they both have a solitary career goal LOL, thereby making the likes of Makelele and Mikel look prolific !

Shame for George.

Hope his career highlight is not going to be at age 17 as a player in our England U-17 World Cup winning team/squad, alongside fellow Chelsea players Guehi, Panzo, CHO and Conor Gallagher.

Gallagher was actually an 87th minute sub for McEachran in that final ...

McEachran yes. Life happened to him. It is possible if he had better advice that sort of sh*te could have passed him...or not. Anyway my point is timing is very important with these young lads and underdeveloped brain.

Corrie. He went out with Kevin Webster's daughter Sophie (or Sawphie as she's called). His other screen daughter (Rawsie)  is the partner (maybe wife?) of former Chelsea player Scott Sinclair.

Ideally he should play further up, along side Mount. Let's face it, he's that similar type of a player.

Release him from the defensive tasks that Kante does and focus on his best abilities, by playing him further up the pitch. He is going to do it better than Havertz because he is used to that position from the 4-3-3, Havertz needs the 4-2-3-1/4-4-1-1 and solo space in the middle, Gallagher doesn't need that much I think.

Obviously we need someone like Fofana so that James can play as the wing-back so that RLC can be in the middle with Jorginho. Literally that final CB transfer can enable Gallagher and in that case we could save ourselves the 40-50m that were going for Gordon. Not the final fix but, Gallagher did have 8 PL goals last season so I see no reason why he wouldn't be playing with Mount, he can finish and he can press with him.

RLC doesn't start in the middle unless Kovacic/Kante/Jorginho/Reece/Chukwuemeka/Gallagher are all injured

Saw a story (probably nonsense) that he is thinking of leaving before window closes as concerned about the amount of minutes he is being given.

How is it possible that a player like that will be expecting more minutes than he has already had.

1st game against a bogey team where we hadn't won in 4years and second one a rival like Spurs, to play ahead of Kante, Jorginho?

Just couldn't believe that guy would have that unreasonable level of expectation.

At this point, getting jorji's place isn't that far fetched. He's been horrible.

Well I think Jorgi was excellent in the last game, he made a mistake that led to their first goal but as a general opinion on his gameplay so far I'd say he's been more than decent. Mistakes are in the game.  Connor will make mistakes.  Maybe if he wasn't too nervous we scored a third before Spurs equalised.  He had an opportunity that a better composed player might have gone for goal quick but he delayed then gave a pass to Mount that wasn't the best who in turn missed the target.

All I'm saying is that its too early in the day to start thinking like that.  He will get plenty minutes I'm certain.  Kante already out with injury for weeks.

Let's not forget he was below Gilmour in pecking order.  After Billy didn't do himself any favours with his loan perforrmance,  Connor is now ahead of him and in the squad.

I'm pretty sure there are already at least a 1000 minutes marked against his name for the season.

He just needs to be patient.  Tuchel is giving youth chances more than any other top manager in the league.  He needs to be understood as well.  You don't risk your livelihood or chances of success for players that are yet to be considered experienced by general consensus.

He can't take the same risks that a Brighton or Southampton or Palace will take with youth players and even then he is doing quite well.

Definitely nonsense.

Not a debut he will want to remember.

Thought he did some good things, especially before the Mendy howler but leeds roughed us up and battled better to a man all over the pitch today.

Hope he gets another chance next week as there were a lot of worse performers out there today.

Everybody was sh*t today, god knows if it's the physical prep or tactics that led to such a poor performance but I'll give him a pass for today.

It wouldn't be fair if he lost his place because of this game.

RLC could have played there while James could have been the wing-back, while otherwise Chalobah could have started as the right CB. I said it before and I'll said it again, Gallagher scored 8 PL goals last season, he's clearly the offensive midfielder in the 4-3-3 and simply not suitable for the deeper role.

We got Mount, Havertz and Gallagher that naturally are AMs and we're playing all 3 all over the place.

Is that not a symptom of us having the worst wingers in the league and 2 of our 3 decent defensive midfielders being perrenionally injured?

Not a positive reaction from TT about Connor in the presser after the game today.

With TT unable to concede the system is f**ked, or that the players are playing in the wrong position, then he is left scratching around for players to blame. Mendy and Connor were the obvious targets today.

I mean if you want to put it that way... But then again it's not normal that Tuchel automatically saw Gallagher in the deep midfield and not as a more advanced player like Mount, I mean he's the most similar player to Mount that will ever exist and Tuchel didn't insist on Mount playing deeper. You're right, we're missing players but technically what was stopping Tuchel from playing this:

               Sterling
        Mount Gallagher
Cucurella Jorginho RLC James
  Koulibaly T.Silva Chalobah

Mount and Gallagher together if we look last season that's 19 PL goals and good press.

Right before the goal you  could notice T.Silva arguing with RLC and then later on with James, prior to the goal we were losing possession that right side due to the press. So we didn't gain anything by having James playing there as a CB at all.

And we also didn't gain anything by playing Havertz either. But sure he'll just keep starting games because Ziyech and Pulisic are somehow even worse?
