And every CL club knows it The thing is, outside of City, PSG and Madrid I can't think of one UCL club that would a) be able to afford him and b) would be enough of an upgrade even with UCL football in the short term. If we narrowly miss out again and say Spurs and United make it it would be nonsensical to make an at best sideways move for the sake of what could be 8 games. Hopefully it's a moot point come May.

Convinced the owners would sell Palmer if an offer came because according to him their only real interest is maximum profit. The gripe I have is that Bob he thinks we are trying to be Brighton a little too much. Continues to overlook the fact Eghbali has said twice now that they believe it’s a more sustainable model to buy, develop, and KEEP these players vs buying ready made players that go £100m+. We've already bought two £100m players and another very expensive Ukrainian,.and a record transfer fee for a left back, and tried to buy an expensive ready made CF a few weeks ago So Egbahli isn't putting into practice his strategy

Just because 3 of them reached close to 9 figures doesn't mean they aren't putting their philosophy into practice. It isn't just about the transfer fee either. It's the wages. It's the very reason they only wanted Osimhen on their terms.

You're missing context - the whole speech was about transfer arbitrage to create value across multi-club model, ie the loaning of players between clubs to 'keep' them within the Chelsea system to increase the value. There's nothing about keeping them for the Chelsea first-team, it's about keeping them within BlueCo's control. First sentence: Quote “We think there’s a path to controlling labour costs and still producing a winning product using data, using the multi club. Edited September 16, 20241 yr by SydneyChelsea

Club's actions towards Colwill, James, and Palmer disprove that.
October 3, 20241 yr If we can get by this international break without injuries or 'fatigue management' that would be fantastic.

October 6, 20241 yr What a sitter missed. Cannot believe it. Have so much trust in him being a very sure goalscorer. Great ball by Mudryk.

October 7, 20241 yr Definitely needs to start up top next game, though he should have buried the header!. To be fair opposition keepers suddenly becoming world class against us is a common thing. Edited October 7, 20241 yr by Malcolm9
October 7, 20241 yr Think its harsh to say he's missed a sitter, sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and congratulate the keeper on the save. Same with his double save against Palmer. Really want to be seeing more of Nkunku, do wonder whether he'd have such an impact starting against these teams but we need to try it.

I think the one thing you could say about the keeper's saves is they all came at a good height, and he didn't have to move much. the one shot heading to the corner went in pretty easily. Sanchez's saves were much more difficult to make, methinks.

October 7, 20241 yr Reminder that Sels is only playing for Forest thanks to BlueCo. If not for them Forest would probably still have that rubbish American kid from last season.

I haven't seen him play apart from in our game but most posts about him are about making some pretty bad mistakes each game. Typical he turns into prime Petr Cech when facing us though. 😄
October 15, 20241 yr Already being linked to PSG. Won’t blame him if he leaves considering he’s done enough to get a PL start but is still on the bench for whatever reason

Not one. Well that’s just daft. Jackson is far more capable of playing in a counter attacking team. That’s how it is just now. Nkunku is absolute quality but he suffers from the way we set up in the league. I’d like him to get more minutes in the league though. Jackson for all his negatives is central to the way we attack
October 31, 20241 yr Needs to work a lot harder. Has all the tools, skills and finishing ability, but he cannot just stroll about the pitch in this team. Must work harder.
