Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea

Honestly, given his high wages and age, he does not fit the Clearlake profile and I would expect he is sold.

Should the title of thread be changed to "Christopher N'kunku to Tottenham" ?

I honestly think the only reason he even gets 10-5 mins at all is cause it's part of some appearance clause in his contract. I hope as we start to play the "easy" teams he features more but I'm not holding my breathe.

After today, I think its pretty clear he'll be sold as soon as we get a decent offer

A massive mistake. Losing Chris, due to whatever the f**k Maresca sees in wacko. Its a joke. A very painful joke.

Has to leave and who would blame him

his treatment is baffling

He can't compete with Palmer and he can't play as the solo striker as he needs a partner.

So not enough room for both Palmer and Nkunku in the middle there and it's fully understandable to invest in Palmer after last season, he is also younger and Nkunku is simply too good to be on the bench but not good enough to adapt to another role.

Nobody expected Palmer to be that good but technically we signed 2 players that naturally occupy that central area behind the striker and that need the space and freedom to roam, choosing Palmer over Nkunku is a logical move in this point in time.

It's like you have Rui Costa but then out of the blue comes Kaka.

Then play Palmer on the right and Nkunku behind the striker. Let's not pretend that there isn't an easy fix here.

I rate Jackson highly but yeah, poor today and should have been off MUCH earlier. Profiling Nkunku as a 9 and purchasing Felix has been the real mistake for me. Nkunkus minutes, however many, should have come in the 10.

Profiling Jackson as a 9 has also been a huge mistake.

Why won’t Maresca do this? Surely he’d benefit from it massively if it paid off?

It almost feels like he is forcing Nkunku out. It’s bizarre.

I don’t know how exactly I’d play him but, I’ve got a feeling that when the opposition doubles up on Palmer (up to 3 Arsenal players were surrounding him today), he could be the best option to drop by him and exploit the space left by players busy wit Palmer. None of our players seem to be exploiting the spaces left when teams are busy wit Palmer, and I think Nkunku has got the ability to do that.

It feels like it's board orders at this point.
