Club's decision then, as they can refuse the call up given it isn't a FIFA organized event. Would leave us with no RBs for the first few games. Edited May 17, 20242 yr by Sconnie Blue

August 25, 20241 yr Genuine question here. With Mudryk unmoveable, plus Noni, Palmer, Neto, Felix and Dewsbury-Hall, is there a place here for Nkunku? He is one big wages, injury prone and had 2 stinkers to start the season. Is he the odd man out?
August 25, 20241 yr Currently, yes. Said as much (as did others) in the Wolves pre-match thread. I would have him behind Palmer and Felix as a number 10, Jackon and Felix as a number 9, and Neto and Felix as a wide man. He does seem to offer goals, but he hasn't shown anywhere near enough just yet.

He will score loads and I believe he will take time to get going after his injury.

August 25, 20241 yr Nkunku absolutely has a role, as 1 of the versatile group of him, palmer, neto, Felix and madueke all competing for 3 positions. Wacko, sterling and Mudryk shouldn’t be getting a look in.

August 25, 20241 yr The only surprise is that Nkunku hasn't lit up the place the same way some of the other attackers have. Long term injuries are a bastard. If you ever recover, you still probably need 6 months to a year to get back to yourself again.
August 25, 20241 yr he forces things and kills it. he only passes if he's stuck in goal scoring areas, needs to be much less selfish.
August 26, 20241 yr He’ll bring it. Was great preseason - role seems to have evolved since others have returned to fitness.
September 1, 20241 yr How Jackson starts ahead of him I will never be able to comprehend. And before anyone, says "he's not a centre-forward", please remember, neither is Jackson.

Seemed an utterly pointless substitution which could only have ever made us worse, and it did.

And if he did, that's even more worrying.

Going forward he and Palmer have to be starting any league and big cup match, the other two dependant on the opponent/tactical approach.
September 14, 20241 yr Think about how little he’s played for us and how many goals he’s scored. Just shows the quality he offers. I think Enzo Maresca knows he is one of our best players, up there with Palmer. It’s just giving him time to get fully fit and not risk recurring an injury again. I’m sure he will be a starter soon.
