I think Enzo Maresca knows he is one of our best players, up there with Palmer. It’s just giving him time to get fully fit and not risk recurring an injury again. I’m sure he will be a starter soon. I hope for Maresca's sake that this is the reason, because if it is because he thinks Jackson offers more, then he's in trouble.
September 14, 20241 yr Has to start. Judging by the first part of his celebration think he also believes he should start.

September 15, 20241 yr Has to be regular starter, it's crazy that to have a player on his qualities in the conference league only.

Nah, he’s made several posts stating our owners will be looking to sell our best players every year. Convinced the owners would sell Palmer if an offer came because according to him their only real interest is maximum profit. The gripe I have is that Bob he thinks we are trying to be Brighton a little too much. Continues to overlook the fact Eghbali has said twice now that they believe it’s a more sustainable model to buy, develop, and KEEP these players vs buying ready made players that go £100m+.
September 15, 20241 yr Christo and Palmer should be untouchable when fit. The rest can rotate based on opponents/fitness/tactics on the day.

It has to work, he could just do things like a poacher and he'll be better at that than Jackson being a complete striker anyway, he doesn't need a partner striker if we play fast and with Palmer around him making runs, it looks like our strongest combination on paper.

I still maintain Nico is a converted left winger not a striker anyway so when we line up with him we line up without a proper 9 anyways. So since we are doing that play the better player, Nkunku, and leave Nico and Guiu for the conference league. You play Nkunku there sometimes Neto/Felix/Palmer/everyone else will run on to what he makes anyways, but when he gets a chance he has an eye for goal.

Eghbali was talking about transfer arbitrage as a revenue stream, so I'm not sure where you get the idea he was talking about keeping/developing players for the first team.

Because he literally said it. Quote “[And] it’s the perfect pathway of developing talent whereby you don’t have to spend crazy money on payroll. [We] hired a coach from Brighton and we think they’re one of the best-run teams in the Premier League. The owner is from a sport gaming, data background. Spends 10% of the payroll, wins almost as much as is a very stable mid0market, mid0table, very profitable club. I think if you apply some of that IP into developing talent but keeping your talent.”

I read this a lot actually and it has been commented on in the press as well. My only issue is that he can't cross or pass for sh*t so if he is a converted winger it's because he is cr@p there. For me its pretty much down to what he does after receiving the ball, what the NFL aficionados call ATC. Jackson's initial movement can be good and his first touch or shimmy will often get away form defenders. But then it is just head down running, no spatial awareness, no appreciation of colleagues and poor execution of the final pass or shot. Jackson and Nkunku are incomparable for me. They may roughly occupy the same part of the pitch but Nkunku is a whole different level than Jackson.
