Christopher Nkunku to Chelsea

Think about how little he’s played for us and how many goals he’s scored. Just shows the quality he offers.

I think Enzo Maresca knows he is one of our best players, up there with Palmer. It’s just giving him time to get fully fit and not risk recurring an injury again.

I’m sure he will be a starter soon.

I hope for Maresca's sake that this is the reason, because if it is because he thinks Jackson offers more, then he's in trouble.

Right.

Much like you suggesting the club would sell Palmer, apologies if I don’t take your opinion too seriously.

This is bs. I have never said Chelsea will sell palmer.

You’ve made several posts suggesting that the club would sell Palmer if an offer came. Not just Palmer too. All our best players.

I have not seen such posts - but I do think they would.

If a team came in now with £120m for palmer, i am sure our owners would give serious consideration to cashing in.

Nah, he’s made several posts stating our owners will be looking to sell our best players every year. Convinced the owners would sell Palmer if an offer came because according to him their only real interest is maximum profit.

The gripe I have is that Bob he thinks we are trying to be Brighton a little too much. Continues to overlook the fact Eghbali has said twice now that they believe it’s a more sustainable model to buy, develop, and KEEP these players vs buying ready made players that go £100m+.

Christo and Palmer should be untouchable when fit.

The rest can rotate based on opponents/fitness/tactics on the day.

It has to work, he could just do things like a poacher and he'll be better at that than Jackson being a complete striker anyway, he doesn't need a partner striker if we play fast and with Palmer around him making runs, it looks like our strongest combination on paper.

I still maintain Nico is a converted left winger not a striker anyway so when we line up with him we line up without a proper 9 anyways.

So since we are doing that play the better player, Nkunku, and leave Nico and Guiu for the conference league.

You play Nkunku there sometimes Neto/Felix/Palmer/everyone else will run on to what he makes anyways, but when he gets a chance he has an eye for goal.

And why’s that.

If we can make a profit, that'll be the reason

Don't think it's even likely, but it's baffling why he's not being used more

My big worry is that Palmer is not going to be happy staying at Europa conference League Chelsea when he knows he could be playing in the Champions League

He's too good to hang around here for very long without CL football.

And every CL club knows it

Eghbali was talking about transfer arbitrage as a revenue stream, so I'm not sure where you get the idea he was talking about keeping/developing players for the first team.

Because he literally said it.

Quote

“[And] it’s the perfect pathway of developing talent whereby you don’t have to spend crazy money on payroll. [We] hired a coach from Brighton and we think they’re one of the best-run teams in the Premier League. The owner is from a sport gaming, data background. Spends 10% of the payroll, wins almost as much as is a very stable mid0market, mid0table, very profitable club. I think if you apply some of that IP into developing talent but keeping your talent.”

I read this a lot actually and it has been commented on in the press as well. My only issue is that he can't cross or pass for sh*t so if he is a converted winger it's because he is cr@p there.

For me its pretty much down to what he does after receiving the ball, what the NFL aficionados call ATC. Jackson's initial movement can be good and his first touch or shimmy will often get away form defenders. But then it is just head down running, no spatial awareness, no appreciation of colleagues and poor execution of the final pass or shot.

Jackson and Nkunku are incomparable for me. They may roughly occupy the same part of the pitch but Nkunku is a whole different level than Jackson.

Then someone should remind him how it all went down at the crossroads, somewhere around where he signed it's written it's till 2033 !

I'd be well happy if the contract forbids him from leaving until 2033 and he actually thought it was a good idea for his career to agree to it!

😜
