Absolute bullsh*t. 100% guarantee that goal isn't given to any other side, apart from Liverpool. How can anybody say Rashford isn't interfering with play?

Spuds as well, Kepa was hindered by an offside player for their goal when we played them.

The offside rule needs to change if refs keep insisting that they're getting it right according to the rules, we've seen a few "dummy" goals in the past couple of weeks where the defence and/or goalkeeper has no choice but to cover the offside player. The fact they left it doesn't mean they're not interfering.

If an offside player is in a position where he'd have a good chance at scoring and it requires defence to take action to cover him, it should be offside.

Rashford literally shields the ball for Fernandes to get a shot away. It's more of an assist than the pass to him.

Baffled by the offside rule. Clearly Rashford tried to play the ball, he’s miles offside, how does that not affect the play?

On another note, counterattacking football is back.

Man City beat themselves here. They walked around for most of the match, maybe due to beating them at home with 6 goals caused this mentality.

Arsenal now in a great position to break the dominance of Pep!

Unbelievable watching Utd.

What a farce goal.

Other than that, how the hell can they play so good compared to us?? Its so frustrating how crap we are. No passion or positive progressive football.

They improved their midfield and benched the underperformers.

They park the bus and get chances from counter attacks. They also got a few creative players on the pitch that can make some passes once there is enough space. Man City is still the better team despite the loss make no mistake about it.

Because they are playing for the manager and  the badge unlike our lot who normally try to get the manager gone.

The only players who seems up for it this season so far is from the fit ones are Zakaria, Silva and Felix which is pathetic.

we need a full clean out

It is unbelievable that goal was not checked var. It was a slam dunk offside. Ederson was preparing himself for rashford to shoot before Bruno took it. It was worse than an offside attacker blocking gk view.

They are one point in front of man utd at the half way point. Pretty impressive for ETH in such little time.

The top of the table looks very exciting for once. Arsenal happy for now, but a three, possibly a four horse race. But I still think City will nick it in the end.

Anyone remember the days when we were a credible part of the title race after Christmas?

For sure city are better but I don't care how you win as long as you win. I miss counter attacking wins. Damn what a sheeeeet squad we have.

Don't players usually stand still when they know they're offside in order to make sure they're not interfering? If running and shielding the ball from an offside position is allowed then that changes the entire sport.

I remember when some fans on here used to moan about our pragmatic style.

I miss it because we use to beat teams before a ball is kicked, we beat them in the tunnel they know this is Chelsea and we are not going to get anything from them.

The sooner we ditch this possession football the better.

People not familiar with the game will think it's absurd to think that a player with 27 goals has made a team look worse, but it's definitely happened with City. They have become more predictable and a big part of their attacking game has been distrupted with Haaland there. In a way, those attacking players must feel like they are a man down at times. They no longer have that extra player who can do the one touch link up play with the midfielders and wingers, a player that will move around the entire box, drop deep, keep defenders guessing and taking up positions to allow other players to sneak in behind. Haaland can't do that work, he can score a ton of goals, but he's pretty much central the entire game. The likes of De Bruyne, Mahrez, Grealish etc now have to do the extra work to make up for what they have lost and sometimes they won't be able to do it.

I also think they are much more vulnerable defensively this season. United had them on the break a few times in the first half and then again when they scored that sucker punch offside goal. There were so many 3v2 situations. City's defensive shape reminded me of Guardiola's first season with them. It was very similar to that day when we beat them with 3 counter attack goals.
