For sure city are better but I don't care how you win as long as you win. I miss counter attacking wins. Damn what a sheeeeet squad we have.

The best Chelsea sides had a bit of everything about them. We are so one-dimensional right now. We can only win one way and every team seems to have us sussed. I don't want us to play this sh*tty slow football anymore, I want a team that has a bit of everything about them, a team that can shift tactics and win a game with counter attacking football now and again, just like we used to do. This shift in our game since Sarri took over has been the worst football I have ever witnessed as a Chelsea fan. There have been a few high moments, but I want entertaining football again. We are so one-dimensional that even when we are losing 1-0 or it's 1-1 in the 94th minute, we still won't get the ball forward quickly, we will still try and slowly pass our way through.

It won't change under Potter either, even if he does pull a miracle and get us out of this hole we are in. His brand of football is almost the same as what we have been seeing for the past few years now. If there was one thing that shocked me under Tuchel, it was that he never moved us away from this type of football. I don't remember any of his previous sides playing like how we played under him.

Makes you wonder how City would be doing this season without Haaland. They really have been heavily reliant on him for goals this season. Interesting that after losing Dias and Laporte in defence they look more vulnerable too.

now I'm just waiting for a comment that Brihton are reaping what Potter has sown

Brighton actually have a very decent squad. 9th with what Potter had last year was good, not some massively impressive feat.

De Zerbi will probably outdo him in his first season in England.

i'm hearing great things about Colwill. He's the future of this club if we don't f**k it up.

Tuchel would gladly have sold him to buy another wingback.

from what I'm seeing today Brighton are miles better than Chelsea they way they are moving the ball, they're making Liverpool run miles for nothing must be exhausting playing against them today

but is this the Potter legacy or a step on from Potter?

Why is it that every single team that plays from the back does it better than us? We play so many passes across the back and go nowhere, often booting the ball up the field after teams put pressure on us, or we give it away in dangerous areas. We always look like we are struggling to retain possession or break the lines. Are the midfielders not creating the space for defenders to pass into? or are the defenders just hanging onto the ball for too long? It's been going on for years with us.

I see so many teams play 2, 3 or 4 passes, break the lines and quickly start up an attack. We never do that. Even when we break the lines, you have Kovacic run forward and mess up a pass, or we play it to the wings who just pass it all of the way back to midfield, who then pass it all of the way back to defence.

Liverpool looked like a bunch of old men today. Their whole team looks knackered. I don't really understand what's going on there. It's basically the same set up as last season but they just seem to have run out of steam.

Brighton winger Solly March, speaking to PLP: "It was a great day, not even the goals but the whole team. We deserved it thoroughly, it could've been more. Everyone played off the park, Everyone played out of their skins, it was a great day."

On the difference Roberto de Zerbi has made: "I think we're growing in confidence and it's giving belief and confidence. We love playing for him and hopefully it'll get better and better.

"We train really hard, he's so down to the details in everything he does. It seems to be working well."

We're going to help out Lampard, easy win for Everton. We might as well help West Ham while we're at it so that people start talking about Rice again :stirthepot:
