A lot of them from that generation are the same, Bosman happened in 95, but it wasn't until 2001 when the first £100k per week wage was achieved (Sol Campbell), so any average player who played between 1995 and 2000 would have earned a couple of million in their career, a decade later and they would of earned that in 6 months.

Surely has to be Lukaku.  Courtois was bad but at least he tried when he was at the club.  Lukaku didn't even try.

If anything I find Craig Burleys bitterness to be quite amusing.

It’s unfortunate that Burley has the platform he does with ESPN, especially over here in the states. Fans believe everything they see on ESPN in the US. Between his bitterness and Steve Nicol’s Liverpool homerism, it makes their segments unwatchable for me. Burley is definitely my least liked ex player.

At least Nicol as earnt the right to Slag or love his beloved Liverpool, he really was that good a player, Burley just bang average at everything

Durie was tough because he harped on about being homesick and wanting to go back to Scotland, then effed off to Spurs

 

Burley is just miserable, and even blasts Celtic a lot too.  He never really got over being resigned to the bench in the FA Cup final either.

Poyet as stated went to Spurs then kissed the Cock in front of the Chelsea fans when he scored against us at the Lane.  I know he said later that he was caught up in the moment; however, he was really nasty to Jon Harley who was playing well for us at the end of the 90's. He was a young Left Back and if Poyet ever messed up, he'd turn round and berate Jon as if it was his fault.  Completely shattered the young land, IMHO

He rejected our contract extension which was fine. He went on strike by not showing up for pre-season to get his move to Madrid. After going there, he kept bad-mouthing us calling us essentially a small club.
