But just wondering on what basis a player that reportedly struggled at Juventus should just be walking into our starting line up when fit? Edited September 30, 20223 yr by True Blue23

October 1, 20223 yr Wonder what’s up with this guy , midfield seems to be crying out for a bit of athleticism and he can’t even make the bench.

October 1, 20223 yr What is wrong with this guy that the terribly poor Kovacic and Jorgi only have RLC to concern themselves with when Kante is injured?

October 2, 20223 yr Lol we haven't even seen Zakaria play yet and most people have given up on him. He was injured at Juve and needs time to adjust to Premier league but he will be an asset in my opinion.
October 2, 20223 yr It is never a great sign when a team loans a player out after signing them only half a season ago. Must have been pretty bad at Juventus. Edited October 2, 20223 yr by Chelsc96

Whenever these kind of signings/loans get made offloading wages, always feel like a bit of politics, you scratch my back we scratch yours type of thing; building relationships with clubs for future ‘real deal’ transfer relations.
October 3, 20223 yr Maybe he was signed on loan so that we can get him match fit, send him back and get a sweeter deal on someone else. We do have great medical and training facilities...and these type of deals/arrangements do happen. Maybe...
October 5, 20223 yr How poorly must he be rated to not even get minutes when we are 3 up against Milan reserves.

Perhaps not exactly poor, but just not yet up to requirements as shown in training. Semantics, I know , but until he has actually played for us, I'm not going to draw any conclusions.
October 8, 20223 yr I hope someone asks Potter about Zakaria, as to why he is so far away from even a token sub apparence. I mean he played him in the behind closed doors friendly vs Brighton and since nothing, was he that bad? Edited October 8, 20223 yr by axman2526
October 9, 20223 yr He's a worse signing than Drinkwater at moment, can't even get a minute when we were 3 up.

We signed him while he was still injured so I'm guessing he needs more time to settle in and to show he's fit and then it maybe takes some time in training to get the hang of it all. I don't believe he's a bad player at all, Potter will use him this season and then we'll see just how well he can do. I would like to see him playing with RLC in the middle, both are tall and like to move forward.

He must be over his injury if he was able to start that game.

October 10, 20223 yr Fabrizio has said on his channel that Zakaria was purely a TT driven signing. That Potter has shown he is not interested in using him as he is at the bottom of his midfielder list, and that Juve, the player and ourselves will be talking about the situation ahead of January and perhaps ending the loan there as none of us want it to carry on as it is.
