We have accumulated a lot of players and it is hard to see how or even why we are going to play them all. Should the Santos kid be recalled to the team? He is playing well and surely would have an impact?  But how does he get a game ahead of Caicedo and Enzo and Lavia? And Enzo Maresca would likely play KDH ahead of him and maybe even Butch Casadei, all quicker than you could say Lesley Chimuanya Ugochukwu.

We have too many choices.

Enzo better watch out…

He is still only 20. Younger than Lavia by a few months this.

Retains the ball well, tidy dribbler, wins a lot of duels, & scores goals. 
 

He’s developing beautifully. 

Wins a lot of duels. I think that is something we desperately need right now. We are too soft in that area. 

It's surprising, because I thought Santos was looking like a completely pointless signing. Don't know what our plans are for him, but maybe there is a chance for him to get back into the side.

Caicedo and Lavia our best duo. Enzo gonna cost us too much to sell. Hoping he comes in but i don't see how the owners don't see this as an easy profit flip when he's going to end up arguably 4th choice based on what we have already and can't shift. 

If we qualify for Champions League I don’t see us selling. I actually see him becoming an integral squad player.

Champions League revenue will satisfy some of the PSR issues, and with the additional football and increase intensity we will need strong options in midfield.

Is CL more strenuous than conference league like now? Quality is obviously better but its the same amount of games so the rotation should be similar to what we have now. IMO someone needs to go if he's to come in and get worthwhile minutes.

We play 2+ more games in Champions League compared to Conference League at the minimum. Could be 4 if we don't make it out the league table stage and have to qualify for the knockouts via playoff. 

Increase in quality, pressing and physicality. So we are going to need strong options in midfield if we want to handle both League and Champions League. Right now there are several players who can't handle 2 matches in a row.

But this still doesn't mean he'll have enough game time. He'll be taking Casadei's current role which is charity minutes in Europe. 

I don't see how the owners turn down what could be £45m or so for someone that would be behind Caicedo/Lavia/Enzo/Veiga(?).

We are likely going to be playing 70-75 games next season. He'll have plenty of game time. 

 

 

He is doing brilliantly and i think he will have plenty of game time next season. If anything Maresca has shown that if you are good and on form you will have game time. I think he is better than kdh chukuwemeka casadei and others in the midfield. Most probably we will have caicedo fernandez lavia and santos as our main 4 midfielders. Others will be sold or sent on loan.

Exciting to read about his start to the season. Will have to look up a video to see some of his highlights. 

If he’s good enough he’ll stay. Plenty of others we could sell to balance the books.

Kdh would be a prime candidate. His job of helping the squad transition to marescas style is pretty much done.

If we have the ability to recall him in January we MUST do it.

No of Casadei, KDH or Enzo are anywhere near good enough to cover for Caicedo or Lavia in the PL, as we know Lavia is on a 1 game a week schedule.

We need Santos. Physically he is ready for the league.
