I'd like Joshua Kimmich. 29, relationship at Bayern souring. One year left so not a free but hopefully doable. Would add real structure, strength and discipline, and allow all of them to develop, Lavia, Ugo and Santos, for a couple of years.

Pipe dream, never happen in a million years.

Not a chance he comes over here. Has Sterling written over him; quality player on fat wages (£300k/w presently), leaving a club where he has always been competing for a mid table team. He doesn’t solve a problem for us, creates a new one.

Have a sneaky feeling if he decides to leave he might be City bound to replace De Bruyne.

So not like Sterling at all then

What a funny coincidence....

Their form has turned around since he got in the team. Love to see it, although I’m still irritated we loaned him out and brought Casadei back, Santos would have been a much better fit for rotating with Enzo/Caicedo

Would Poch have given him a chance though or given him the Casadei treatment? If his form in Ligue 1 can translate well into the PL, he is a better fit of a partner for Enzo than Caicedo. Personally don’t see a way back into the team for him, not becos a lack of ability but becos we will be stuck trying to figure out how to make the £100m+ pair work.

I can see him staying in Ligue 1 for 1 more season and getting sold for £50m+ upper season since he was bought for a low fee.

I saw him playing a few games .. far from ready.. quite ponderous on the ball and not the most aggressive on the tackle… despite the optimism don’t think he is an upgrade on anything we have currently. Needs to develop more.

Their value is a fair point, I do think though that after a season as disastrous as this the chances of displacing at least one of them has increased quite a lot.
As of what Poch would have done - we dont know but at least he would have had a true cm to rotate them with. Casadei is an attacking player, either an 8 or a 10, which means we got an extra player in a position where we had Gallagher, Mudryk and Palmer fit. Cairney returned soon after. So, we are left with too much competition for the 10, and absolutely no cover for the pivot. Its just incredibly poor squad planning, even if Santos himself probably benefits more from playing regularly at Strasbourg.

Barely gave Lesly a chance and he has more first team experience than Santos/Casadei.

Outside looking in, there is no planning. This is where the co-directors needs to show us what they are actually doing.

Yeah this guy is never playing for us. He was fairly cheap so we should get a good amount of profit from him.

Provided he remains in the Strasbourg side this season another year on loan for him and Angelo there seems best for their careers.

The Athletic reporting he will stay with the club next season.

Read the same...apparently him and Casadei fit moresca's plan.

So CM options gonna be Enzo, Caicedo, Lavia, Santos, Chukwuemeka, Casadei and if Olise is signed you assume Palmer is taking a central role too?

Think both Lesly and Casadei will be loaned.

Enzo/Lavia

Palmer/Carney  Caicedo/Santos

Ugochukwu was the most pointless expensive signing. £25m for someone to spend time on loan. Its not like it'll be a massive profit flip either unless he starts pulling up trees on loan.
