Championship loans are always better.

Of course Forest have every right to play their strongest side but if they gave certain assurances to secure this loan deal considering  there were multiple clubs that wanted Andrey on loan, then we have every right to pull the plug on this. Have him with U21s and give him championship loan in January. 
 

 

We don't seem to learn with loans to struggling EPL signs. 

For every 1 half decent loan, there are usually a number of sh*t ones.

He is a Brazilian international, I have never heard of a player of a FIFA ranked top 5 team playing in a lower league. The loan was a poor one, but the club never had a solid plan for his development.

Can't rely on other teams to develop our players, and to be honest Forest is playing a complete different style from us, and  got more urgent issues than playing a young Brazilian from another club. Coming back is a good idea if he's not playing, or at least another loan to a club really could use him.

Was stupid to loan him to a club with so many players on the books anyway.

We should always prioritise a loan move to a strong Championship side over Premier league teams. 

Reece, Maatsen, Tammy, Tomori, Mount, Colwill all made their names in the Championship. 

 

Looks like this was properly planned from the club's end.

Plenty of reports about Cooper and Chelsea talking about Santos' situation but zero mention of financial penalties. Likely an invention.

You've got to question our talent ID and certainly the overhype and over payment for some of these players. We were considering keeping Santos for the season and then sent him out for a PL loan to a club that barely retained their status last year. Since then he can't even make their squad. Makes you wonder what metrics are being used by the idiots we have behind the scenes here 

It's really disappointing, thought this could be a break out season for him, or at least get  taste of EPL and earn his spot in the team. Instead we signed a few more players with big money for his position,  he's on a failed loan and we still don't know what to do with him when he's back.

I saw the signings of Caicedo, Lavia and Ugochukwu as an admission that neither Santos nor Casadei were quite what we thought we were signing ...

Hmm I saw it more as the committee each got who they wanted. Caicedo  (Winstanley), Lavia (Shields) and Ugochukwu (Stewart). 

Well publicized each pushed for the respective player.

I have to admit I was absolutely scoffing at the idea that so many had back in pre-season that we don't need any midfielders when we've got Santos and Casadei to play with Enzo. Imagine the mess that could've been? 

But still, Norwich one of the worst teams to ever grace the Premier League wouldn't give Billy Gilmour a sniff and the Norwich fans were saying he's crap. When he's clearly a talented kid who will likely be in a top 6 side in the future. 

There could be numerous factors outside of poor recruitment, he might very well not be a player, but it could also just be a piss poor loan like Gilmour was to Norwich who currently starts for Brighton. 

Bring him back, Enzo needs help.

I must confes I have now developed this totally irrational desire for Forest to go down now. Simply because they won't play our player. Makes no sense, I appreciate that but there you have it....fck em

Forrest bought two players at his position on the last few days of the transfer window. Two guys with a lot more experience in europe and much more physically ready to play in the PL. Forrest (Cooper) are battling every week end to stay in the PL. I understand very much Cooper isnt playing an 18 year old brazilian who's in first year outside Brazil and hasnt played a level higher then the Brazil 2nd division. Like Victor said, sometimes the fit is just not there. It was a bad decision to loan him there, Chelsea will recall him and send him somewhere where he can play with a lot less pressure. Should have been kept in the squad and played with the u21 team imo.
